Birth Name
editHas anyone an explanation for why her birth name was supposedly "O'Teari," a name which does not show up anywhere else in the world, while her father's name was evidently Gaetano Thomas Oteri, a common Italian name? Yahoo TV's biography states that she changed her name to fit a common mispronunciation-- did she change it back to what it had already been? Did her father change his back at the same time? It's possible but it seems very unlikely. TMiscia —Preceding undated comment added 20:17, 13 April 2011 (UTC).
- I also find NO evidence to support the "O'Teari" spelling. It looks Irish, not Italian. Numerous family records can be found on Ancestry.com and none of them have the surname spelled this way. -- Trowbridge (talk) 21:04, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Merge Loomis (TV pilot)
editThe article noted above wouldn't survive a propsal for deletion (prod), but the information may be worthwhile to do a merge with. Loomis was a Cheri Oteri tv vehicle that wasn't picked up. Guroadrunner 08:23, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- It may have been a vehicle for her, but to merge it into her own article would be a rip off to all the other people on the show. failure or not it should stay it's own article.Cpesacreta 08:13, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Car Theft?
edit[Oteri] went to Archbishop Prendergast High School (on the same campus as Monsignor Bonner High School), until her junior year when she was involved with other students in an incident relating to the theft of the Principal's car and its subsequent destruction.
I checked the cited source (Live from New York: as Told by its Stars, Writers & Guests) and could find no mention of car theft in the book's index or among any of the passages connected with Oteri. Since no page number was given, I'm wondering if this sentence should be removed per WP:BLP. J Readings (talk) 13:32, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- I removed the sentences per WP:BLP. If someone can provide a verifiable quote from a reliable source, then please reinsert it. J Readings (talk) 00:37, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Her father's death?
editHow come there's no mention of her father's murder?I know it happened recently but it should be added. I know it's a fact because it's posted on aol news. Here's the link: http://news.aol.com/entertainment/story/_a/nashville-songwriter-charged-in-death-of/n20080428141809990014 Please update and thank you ^^ Anadentone (talk) 18:50, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Almost certain it's been repeatedly removed by a sympathetic fan (or someone with ties to Oteri). It's a messy, difficult topic, but certainly meets Wiki criteria and definitely belongs in this article! Shamrox (talk) 01:02, 31 May 2011 (UTC)
Fagan?
editWhy is Fagan's credentials as a songwriter listed under Cheri Oteri's biography, when he's the one who killed her father. I think that section should be removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.85.58.77 (talk) 18:06, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
The bio of her father's killer was irrelevant to her article. 24.199.172.86 (talk) 00:42, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Fagan was found not guilty in early 2009.
Cheri Oteri is missed on Saturday Night
editA funny woman with hilarious expressions...like a best friend or a close sister. Her cheerleader skits with Will Ferrell were gut splitting and her drug addict persona and Judge Judy skits were of equal weight...but it was her presence at an Oprah Winphrey Slumber Party parody where the Queen of Talk Shows asks her what is the most dangerous thing you have done and Cheri Oteri says at dinner; "Well, I'm deadly allegic to fish and I just ate your entire seafood dinner." priceless...come back with Tina Fey. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mahovictor (talk • contribs) 18:26, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
