No need to add text on Assemblies of God USA vs. Church of God in Christ racial tension history. Keep on respective denomination articles.
edit{{Admin help}} Lead should not be cluttered by information that should stay in the history section nor should it use racially charged language as added by User:TheLionHasSeen. Factual information on racial tensions between the Assemblies of God USA and Church of God in Christ should stay on their respective denominational articles because it is more of AG USA/COGIC's history than Chi Alpha's history. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chi_Alpha&type=revision&diff=1108334693&oldid . No need to add text on Assemblies of God USA vs. Church of God in Christ racial tension history. Keep on respective denomination articles. 66.44.115.210 (talk) 05:08, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- Cluttering the lead would include every single piece of information from the article, not merely a single sentence which can be backed up in the history section; if information can only be found in the lead, it shouldn't exist on the article. Writing "Chi Alpha is sponsored by the Assemblies of God USA, a Pentecostal denomination established by white ministers after separating from African-American leadership within the Church of God in Christ in 1914" as well cannot be argued as racially-charged language, especially when the proper citation methods have been employed. That's akin to those seemingly affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention attempting to erase the foundational history of their organization on Wikipedia, etc. and crying foul. - TheLionHasSeen (talk) 14:05, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- AGAIN, racial tensions between the Assemblies of God USA and Church of God in Christ should stay on their respective denominational articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.44.114.72 (talk) 17:15, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
Please provide discussion, rather then blatantly arguing back and forth, and switching IP addresses. That never ends well for anyone on Wikipedia. I will escalate this if need be. TheLionHasSeen (talk) 19:27, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
- Please, Please stop. None of this is necessary. It's a lot more accurate to say "The Assemblies of God with which Chi Alpha is associated with is a Finished Work Pentecostal denomination established after separating from a historically African American and theologically different Holiness Pentecostal denomination known as the Church of God in Christ in 1914". 129.174.240.247 (talk) 14:23, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
Moved the text in question to the history section where it belongs rather than out of place and over emphasized in the lead. This is a great compromise. 129.174.240.247 (talk) 14:33, 27 October 2022 (UTC)

- Discussion was not provided since September, rather continuing revisions on part of the IP addresses, all of which are associated by edit history and behavior with the infamous User:Hoaeter. Also, that so-called accuracy is just wordiness of unnecessary intent, similar to the same actions as User:Hoaeter when topic-banned from P'ent'ay and other Horn of Africa related articles. - TheLionHasSeen (talk) 15:22, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
- Closing inappropriate template usage; try WP:3O or WP:DRN if more opinions needed. Primefac (talk) 16:28, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
