Fair use rationale for Image:CHICKHEARN.jpg
editImage:CHICKHEARN.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
WikiProject Chicago
editChick Hearn may have been from Chicago but he is notable for his work in Los Angeles with the Los Angeles Lakers. Should this article still be part of WikiProject Chicago? Somehow, I doubt it, so I removed it. IF someone can provide reasons for including that banner, go for it. :-) -- Gmatsuda (talk) 10:45, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- All articles that include categories listed at WP:CHIBOTCATS get the tag added in twice weekly bot runs through the categories. Basically, if the category is important to the article the article is important to the project. If the category does not belong in the article please remove it.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 19:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK...I'll remove the category. Thanks. -- Gmatsuda (talk) 09:56, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Hector
editThe article links "Since Hector was a pup" to the original Trojan hero. Was that Chick's intent? I would think "pup" refers to a dog such as Hector_the_Bulldog. Randall Bart Talk 18:41, 19 June 2013 (UTC)

The article should include Chicks radio show in Peoria Illinois called the Corn Report and he called Bradley U. games....I will never forget the game he called on radio in Peoria when Bradley U. then with Frank Sylvestor a 5.6 guard beat UCLA. I cannot remember the year but Chick was very popular then before he went to Califonis....in fact that is part of the reason Jerry Buss wanted Chick to call the games. I met Jerry Buss and he told me that himself...you may want to research this some more and add these facts as they are representative of the true story of Chicks life and are what led to him being the icon he was.(Busnetwork 21:56, 23 October 2013 (UTC)) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Busnetwork (talk • contribs) 21:48, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Chickisms -- add "Sky Hook"?
editDidn't Chick coin the term "Sky Hook"? There's currently no reference to that in Chickisms. JohnH~enwiki (talk) 01:22, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
