EXECUTIVE producer

Demi Lovato is an EXECUTIVE producer not a producer, only producers are listed in |producer= and only producers are eligible for Academy Award for Best Picture#Recipients NOT an EXECUTIVE producer 69.181.17.113 (talk) 15:54, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- There's 2 instances in regard to that.
- The March 2023 article by Deadline Hollywood when the film had started states:
Child Star is produced by OBB Pictures' Ratner, Kfir Goldberg and Miranda Sherman, with Scott Ratner serving as executive producer; Lovato serves as executive producer for her DLG banner; Scooter Braun, Scott Manson, Jennifer McDaniels and James Shin are executive producing for SB Projects.
- while the Billboard and The Hollywood Reporter articles in July 2024, after the trailer was released, state:
Child Star is produced by OBB Media founder and CEO Michael D. Ratner, who directed and produced Lovato’s last doc, 2021's Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, along with Scott Ratner, Miranda Sherman, Kfir Goldberg and Lovato. It’s executive produced by Marsh, SB’s Scooter Braun, Scott Manson, Jen McDaniels and James Shin. Finally, Glenn Stickley serves as a co-executive producer on the project, which was first announced in early 2023.

- The new sources, Hulu, and the documentary itself says Lovato is a producer, not an executive producer. CatchMe (talk) 17:55, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- @CatchMe and @Ben0006. Lovato is an executive producer and not a producer for this film, it's a common mistake that people make in reporting. This book might help explain the differences.

Demi Lovato, who started acting at around age ten, is a co-director, executive producer and a subject of this documentary, an idea that Lovato's had for years.

- Lovato is credited as a producer in the documentary itself, and is not at the end of the film where the executive producers are mentioned. I do not think that is a mistake at all. CatchMe (talk) 22:05, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
