FAO: user id 66.165.10.139,

please remember Wiki user policy. Differences in spelling between American and British English are to be left in the original format. As the author of this entry, it is written in British English and it is extremely rude to call it a spelling error and change it. Please register as a user and refer to wikipedia policy before your next changes. --Brideshead 12:27, 4 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

the argument could be made that as an American movie, the topic is of substantially greater American interest and differences should be resolved in favor of American English (btw, I dont care, i'm leaving the spelling alone, just responding to how snippy you seem to have been)216.207.246.230 06:42, 14 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

revert of anon ip insertions

edit

I just reverted http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Children_of_the_Corn_%28film%29&diff=62498386&oldid=61583815 for a number of reasons. While not all bad it was 100% unsourced and the tone was wrong. Please reinsert and tidyup if you feel differently. Megapixie 06:00, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wording

edit

I don't think the last line of the synopsis should end "try to escape with their lives, to no avail." I just finished watching it (Monsterfest X on AMC is preventing me from studying) and it looked to me that they did survive. I didn't want to change it if I missed it somehow, perhaps they died at the end of the credits or something. Thanks.Thisisnotkathy 07:45, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

No, they didn't. That line should be reworded, I guess. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.244.120 (talk) 22:08, 31 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Uncut

edit

>A subject in wich not many fans of the original talk of is that of the deleted scenes. Now, why they don't talk about it is that is is hard to trak most of them down. Here is a list of the deleted scene listing:

This is horrible grammer, spelling, & def not something that is encyclopedic! The entire section is laughable and does not belong on wiki.I'm removing this section, until it can be written to wiki's standards.

Synopsis

edit

The plot synopsis seems way too long compared to the rest of the article. The Manual of Style for WikiProject Films suggests 400-700 words for a synopsis. This film's plot is at 636 words, and I don't think it's necessary. I'm going to start by fixing the numerous spelling mistakes that appear within the synopsis. Somno (talk) 06:42, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay, while fixing the spelling and grammatical mistakes (and the fact that it switches between Malachi/Malachai, Bert/Burt, Vicky/Vicki, and Amus/Amos), I cleaned it up a bit, and have reduced the size to 442 words. It still looks too long, but if the rest of the article is expanded, it'll look better! Somno (talk) 07:05, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Remake

edit

A mention should be placed to the 2009 remake. Also, anyone knows if the eighth movie mentioned in the article refering to this new version? Or is it a separate project entirely? If so, this part should also be updated. --kozmefulanito (talk) 08:03, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unrelated prequel?

edit

Wasn't there a '76 or '77 film by the same name? Sharon Stone's first film, or something? TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 08:03, 25 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Early April fools joke?

edit

Hi, Is it just me or did someone change the genders of the characters (including names!) in this article? Someone playing a joke.? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nefaereti77 (talkcontribs) 22:46, 25 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Expansion

edit

This article is poorly developed and needs to be rewritten and expanded. Information on the film's plot needs to be added to the article and properly sourced. More information on the film's reception needs to be added with reviews from notable critics added to the article. Unsourced information in the article either needs to be removed or given proper citations. All of these changes and additions need to occur in order for this article to meet Wikipiedia's guidelines and standards of a well developed and properly sourced article.--Paleface Jack (talk) 03:32, 19 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

The new Progressive Corporation TV ad.

edit

Is the new Progressive TV ad, in which Flo and the other insurance marketing characters step out from a corn field and scare a farm family, a humorous take on this film? Thank you, Wordreader (talk) 21:53, 13 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Plot Synopsis

edit

I stuck a couple of tags on the synopsis last night - obviously an administrator disagrees with me, but I think when the last paragraph talks about "the police officer" and "the gasohol" it isn't totally clear what these mean. Per$1$tenceofv1$1on (talk) 23:45, 3 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
