Kinder der Landstrasse

edit

Hi and @Lugnuts:, even imdb lists the film as Kinder der Landstrasse (film), just remarked incidentally, imho therefore Children of the Open Road is an 'artifical' name rarely used ;-) In short, why to do a renaming? Thanks and kindly regards, Roland zh 21:34, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Per WP:NCF, we should use the English title where possible. I see the SIFF has it listed with the English title. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 10:03, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
Hi, and in short, your are wrong... quotIng WP:NCF:
Foreign-language films:... Use the title more commonly recognized by English readers; normally this means the title under which it has been released in cinemas or on video in the English-speaking world... [and sif is the only one using that bevor before published term, and so it was before your spontanous renamenaming:] ... Betty Blue is a 1986 French film. Its original French title is 37°2 le matin, which means "37.2 °C in the Morning". If the film was released in the English-speaking world under its native title, use that throughout the article, but include an English translation in brackets after the first use... Do not put the English title in bold, as this is not an 'official' title.
Therefore the initial native name Kinder der Landstrasse (film) has to been re-estableshed, regards, Roland zh 12:19, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

English

There's a lot of heavy "Denglish" in here... Help from native speakers of English would be great! :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:3038:61B:9C6:9728:2788:D0B:F7DB (talk) 17:35, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Plot description sentence (2nd paragraph) unclear

edit

Under PLOT, the sentence in the second paragraph (i.e.,the sentence with italics) does not make sense. 2001:1970:5A1B:6900:FCB3:7442:EFFC:34FC (talk) 03:16, 7 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
