Filmography and Awards
editI've seen that this article was created after the filmography section in the Christian Bale article was divided into two articles, for his filmography and awards respectively.
While I have no problem with moving Bale's filmography to a separate article, I really don't see the point in making a new article for his awards as it is unnecessary and counterproductive.
There is a reason why WP:FILMOGRAPHY recommends a certain format, and that's because it is a format that works, providing all the useful information in one page. It also makes it easier to identify an actor's "best" movies based on critical acclaim (i.e. the awards won).
As it is formatted now, this article provides little insight into the importance of Bale's roles, and the awards article, albeit adorned with nice and colorful green and red "Won" and "Nominated" tags, is much less easy to read and, frankly, unnecessary.
I would therefore suggest that this article and this one be merged into a single article, consonant with WP guidelines (not because I'm a guideline fanatic, but because I think it is more useful as reference, the fact that it is suggested in the guidelines is only reason more to do so). --Nonfaridere (talk) 23:26, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- Category:Lists of awards by actor and Category:Filmographies are always separated. That's how we do. — Statυs (talk, contribs) 23:29, 19 April 2013 (UTC)
- In my opinion, it's pretty terrible though, I don't get the rationale. All it does is make WP less useful and straightforward. --Nonfaridere (talk) 11:42, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
- If an actor has more than a few awards or nominations, there should be a separate list for them on the main bio page or, if a substantial number of them, on their own page -- because putting awards and noms in the notes column of the filmography usually makes the table bloated and cluttered-looking in spots -- very unappealing. --Musdan77 (talk) 21:31, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
Budgets
editI'm wondering how this is a featured list after reading this discussion: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers/Archive 9#Director.2C Budget.2C Box office columns in Filmography at WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers -- where basically the consensus was made that budgets should not be included. Also, I think the "key" for yet-to-be-released films is very unnecessary. It's already obvious from the notes column. --Musdan77 (talk) 21:40, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

The Pale Blue Eye
editChristian Bale was cast in a movie for Netflix called “The Pale Blue Eye”. It’s release is TBA. He’s still filming Thor Love and Thunder and David O. Russell’s untitled film. Not sure when it starts filming. Should I put it? Filmmaker8306 (talk) 21:50, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
