editI do hope that my cack-handed attempts at helping with this excellent beginning have not cheesed off its previous editors too much. I am pretty sure that the changes I have made are correct in terms of pure geography, but I might nip round at a lunchtime and check one or two assertions. Other things, like "North Rd" and "in the west", that I changed, I'd defend more vigorously. North Rd was just wrong, I believe - I don't think there is one round there, in fact the nearest one's up by Cally Park. The contributor may well have been thinking of NEW North Road (that lovely thoroughfare) but that doesn't actually hit City Road either - it veers off before the bottom and the actual connection is made one way by East Rd and the other way by various piddly little streets like Vestry Rd. The "in the west" thing wasn't exactly wrong, just wrongish - I know what was meant, but it was perhaps a touch unhelpful because it's absolutely not in the west of London as a whole, only in the west of the span (?) of this particular road, so I thought my attempt might be a bit clearer. I will of course apologise prettily if I can be proven wrong on this stuff! I'm rabbiting on too much now aren't I? Oh dear. :) --Nevilley 11:50, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
I revised the road names at the southern end having walked around there today and checked on what I'd said. The current version (including Finsbury Square as the first of the successor street names) is now correct. --Nevilley 15:29, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)
