Definition of term
editThe lead needs to be further expanded on. As it is-is a theory and practice that takes the forest as an ecosystem and manages it as such- is vague and could apply to silviculture, sustainable forest management, etc. Minnecologiest,c 23:26, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
- I will try to expand the lead, to remark the difference from other terms, such as sustainable forest management.Auró (talk) 22:42, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Translation from Catalan wikipedia?
editThis article is not properly a translation from Catalan wikipedia. The articles in the Catalan wikipedia and English wikipedia have both been written by me, and it is quite normal that they look alike.Auró (talk) 22:50, 5 March 2011 (UTC)
Payment for ecosystem services
editThe payment for ecosystem services is a very established topic. I think the request for citation is not justified.--Auró (talk) 21:44, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
Slovenia and 1948
editThis seems a bit odd. There are several mentions around the Web that sustainable logging became a law in Slvenia in 1948 but Slovenia was part of Yugoslavia in 1948 so it seems more likely that any such law would apply across the Yugoslav federation. And the law isn't mentioned in this article by the [FAO] http://www.fao.org/docrep/w3722E/w3722e25.htm Nankai (talk) 03:55, 23 October 2017 (UTC) Nankai (talk) 03:55, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
- My information comes from the work cited as reference. It is a book written by Pro Silva people. Robanov Kot, in Slovenia, was chosen as the meeting place for the foundation of Pro Silva, because there were forests managed according to close to nature principles. It might be that the law was general for all Yugoslavia, or particular for Slovenia, since Yugoslavia was a federation.--Auró (talk) 21:36, 23 October 2017 (UTC)
