Notability
editThe notability is clearly asserted in the article, and it passes the Google test with 2 million results for "Colbie Caillat". [1] Reinistalk 10:22, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- It does not need to pass the Google test or the My Space test. It needs to be notable as demonstrated by verifiable, reliable, third-party sources. Ursasapien (talk) 10:31, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Here you go. [2] Reinistalk 10:49, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Looks good. I can try to put the references in, but you can put them in if I don't get to it. I'll just take off the "db" tag. Regards, Ursasapien (talk) 11:03, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

- Then provide a reliable source for that. Funk Junkie (talk) 18:19, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't know anything about Colbie, really. But I see that she is described as a guitarist. I have seen the music video of Bubbly. She isn't playing the guitar- just pretending to do so. Can she really play the instrument?JohnC (talk) 06:10, 4 July 2009 (UTC)
She definitely can play the guitar, just watched a video of her playing "Bubbly" on YouTube. Look it up.MonroeDoctrine (talk) 20:25, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Article Length
editThis article is WAY TOO SHORT. I'm not saying this just because it's short. look at her single, Bubbly's article. It's almost the same length as the singer who sang the singer. We need to make it longer. Thanks. calliegal_x (talk) 01:32, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Calliegal

is she named after colby cheese
You have Colby Callet as winning the 2010 Grammy Album of the Year, but list "Fearless" as the album, which belongs to Taylor Swift. Can you correct that? (User:72.2.235.2 00:58 May 3, 2010)
- The listing is correct. Fearless contains the song "Breathe", which features Caillat. As a collaborating artist, she earns a share of the award. --Alan (talk) 00:00, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Where does her name come from?
editThe pronunciation of Caillat as /kəˈleɪ/ doesn't fit with any language I know. Here on Wikipedia, we have Ken Caillat, given as /kæˈleɪ/, and Colette Caillat for which no pronunciation is given. Other sources imply it's a French name, but it certainly wouldn't be /kəˈleɪ/ in the French I learned at school. Did Colbie's family alter the pronunciation on a whim somewhere along the line, or is it distinct in origin from the French name? Does anyone know for certain? — Smjg (talk) 23:44, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
