What is this situation? Genuinely curious.

On the new page review feed I see that there is an article Hijab in Iran now. I wonder if the separation between Compulsory hijab in Iran and Hijab in Iran constitutes a content fork?

Also, the talk page of Hijab in Iran is linked to this current page (Talk:Compulsory hijab in Iran). That must not be right.

I faced a few technical difficulties in transferring the pages. I'll try to fix them by tomorrow, and I would appreciate some help if you can. Regarding the new article, hijab in Iran have a long and controversial history. The article "Hijab in Iran" was overshadowed by the compulsory hijab, which only dates back to around 45 years. That's only 1/8 of the history of hijab as an old tradition among Iranian women. Compulsory hijab is the subject of tremendous controversy, social movements, and incidents. I have plans to extend the compulsory hijab article, which covers many events and discussions from each decade between 1980 to 2023.

If the article only focuses on the period of hijab as a compulsion (as the old Hijab in Iran article did), then I'm afraid we are violating the WP:BALANCE. 3000MAX (talk) 11:56, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
