Exact Release Date
editThis seems rather difficult to find, the official website as per spike.com ( www.geocities.com/cobweb_films ) is now dead since geocities is no longer in operation however according to the wayback machine ( archive.org ), the website was in operation since at least Oct 17 2000, however it never seems to have had any real content.
In addition it appears that the original movie is available to download at ( http://www.flumps.org/funny/computerboy/images/computerboy.mov ), which may be the fastest public access point.
From ( http://www.ausgamers.com/files/details/html/3544 ), we find the additional official website of ( http://www.geocities.com/cobweb_films/computerboy.html ), another dead link because yahoo nolonger supports geocities, however the wayback machine shows that the webpage referred to a sydney morning herald article (APR 28 - MAY 4, no year specified):
"Now an 18-year-old film-maker from Newtown has laid bare Tinsel Town's shameless profligacy by making his own version of The Matrix - which was rumoured to have cost more than $100 million - for $2,500(AUS)!"
"At 7:30pm on Wednesday, Abe Forsythe will premiere his 50-minute Matrix homage Computer Boy at Annandale's Side On Cafe."
While the year of the article is not stated, i suspect the premiere occurred in 2003. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.20.230.55 (talk) 05:42, 19 June 2010 (UTC)
Article requires extensive rewrite
editI have tagged this article to be rewritten, as in its current form it has many issues, including containing direct quotes from unreferenced sources, WP:NPOV, WP:PROMO, external links in the text and encyclopedic style and tone. Dfadden (talk) 11:13, 22 February 2014 (UTC)
