"Judging by the estimate that Connie is approximately 16 years old and Prymaat was pregnant with Connie when they learned that their rescue vessel would come to get them in 7 Zerls that would make one Zerl approximately 2.29 years."

I think this statement is questionable. Surely the fact that the INS agents do not age significantly while Connie is growing up implies that she matures at a faster rate than a human would? Gildir 13:39, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

That argument also assumes that the ship arrived on time. I believe it's strongly implied during the film that it isn't. --Scorp Stanton 06:39, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

The text reads,

"Coneheads has been said to have made an "accidental" or "unintentional" political statement or social commentary about the nature of the immigrant experience in America, the filmmakers' ostensible intent being merely to entertain."

to which I have attached a 'fact' tag. The original editor seems to be going to some pains to suggest that the film is 'merely' entertainment, but cites no sources supporting a view that Michaels, Curtin and Aykroyd disavowed satirical intent. Now, the film portrays an America where the citizens are entirely accepting of the 'aliens', while zealous government officials try to track them down. What is transparently satirical to our generation may not be so clear to one reading this article in one or two hundred years time, so I think it is worth noting this aspect of the film. Furthermore, even if a citation claiming that the social commentary was accidental should be supplied, this does not negate the reading -- a satirist need not signpost eir meaning: it is clear to those who see it, and it does not improve with explanation to those who don't.
