Rana Kumbha's presence

As you guys would have get to know about the purpose of this discussion page by it's topic. I want to challenge the Editor @Kemilliogolgi 's view that Rana Kumbha was present in the battle. As the sources below presented by me confirm he was not present.

History of Mewar from Earliest times to 1751 A.D: Page no -146 "The fort of Ajmer was under the possession of Maharana Kumbha, whose representative Raja Gajadharsingh was governing the place, The Sultan Muhmud soon laid a siege to the fort, Gajadharsingh with his Rajputs sallying out from the fort, on four successive days, fought displying gallantry and prowess, On the fifth day, Raja Gajadhar was slain while fighting, Immediately after his death despair prevailed in the Rajputs, who hurriedly retired to the fort. At the same time, some of the Malwa soldiers also followed closely the fugitive Rajputs into the fort and opened the gates.!? Thus the Sultan suceceded in capturing it, He appointed Saif Khan ‘as the Governor of Ajmer and also got constructed a mosque there, However, Maharna Kumbha managed to recapture it after a couple of days."

Maharana Kumbha: Sovereign, Soldier, Scholar: Page no-51 "Sending the bulk of his army against Mandsaur to engage the Maharana's forces, he advanced and attacked Ajmer. Gajadhar Singh, the Governor of the fort of A j mer, defended the fort for four days, and then, despising the foe's forces, he came out and attacked the Sultan's army. He was killed after performing deeds of valour"

The source presented by @Kemilliogolgi itself not mentions that Rana Kumbha was present at the battle. As he was the head of the Kingdom of Mewar thus the defeat of his commander can be stated as his defeat but that does not mean he was present at the battle. It is like that Babur was present at the battle of Bayana but he was not. It was his forces not him.

"Makhdum Husain, 111 one of the most celebrated Sufi Shaikhs of Nagaur, was a relative and follower of Shaikh Kabir and was first with his spiritual guide in Gujarat. After Rana Kumbha's defeat at Ajmer in 859/ 1456-7 Makhdum Husain went there to the devastated site of the shrine of Khwaja Muin al-din. He later constructed the shrine over Mu'in al-din's tomb. Ajmer was still under the control of the Malwa Sultan Mahmud Khalji, and he, or his successor, Sultan Ghiyath al-din (873/1468-9 to 905/1499-1500) ordered the construction of a gate to the shrine of the Khwaja. convert it into better English in the same way."

The second source presented by me clearly states that Rana was in Mandasur not in Ajmer. As Wikipedia is a tertiary source. We mention the things that are clearly stated by the source itself. The source of @Kemilliogolgi does not mention that Rana was present at the time of the battle despite of that @Kemilliogolgi has mentioned Rana's name in belligrents which is the breach of Wikipedia's rules or more precisely WP:SYNTH.

I know something wrong is going around with Indian history related war/battle/siege articles. I am taking a break as I've already got involved in this several times, and it may affect my personal life. I am getting nothing from this, so a break is essential. Tbh this is WP:SYNTH editing as they have found only one source among others to support their claim that Rana Kumbha was present in the campaign. And to @ImperialAficionado, don't know to whom he's referring something is wrong going on around with Indian history related war/battle/siege articles. But I too think there are some new editors who seek POVish editing rather than NPOV so if you're deeply exhausted from all of these then you must take a short break. You have few more hours to respond to my challenge and to give a relaible source which is clearly mentioning that Rana Kumbha was present in the battle. Otherwise your edit of showing Rana Kumbha in the belligrents list would be reverted.

This page should be speedily deleted because (your reason here) --Rudra Simha (talk) 16:38, 27 May 2024 (UTC) Title of the battle looks invented, none of the sources have any mention of Conquest of Ajmer. Sources are unreliable. It doesn't pass WP:RAJ. Entire article looks like a self made tale
