Editing the CORRECT information

To those who edit this page, please be certain of what you’re editing. It took me a while to add all the tables and information of all family members. Myself as well as others I have seen editing have noticed that users are adding unconfirmed information that should not be put on. I don’t like having to repeatedly edit, and I’m sure others don’t like to either! Duhaaacx (talk) 11:44, 31 May 2019 (UTC)

Can we please ban this user?

2600:1700:6af0:ad30:b85c:d89b:4ab1:f495 has repeatedly vandalized the page, including adding due dates when none are confirmed, saying that Jeremiah and Jason are courting, and stating that Jill and Derick are expecting. It is getting annoying to have to correct their false edits every day. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.218.200.225 (talk) 07:48, 14 June 2019 (UTC)

Banning a user

I do not have permission to edit this page, but I’ve noticed for a long time that a certain user continues editing against other users’ wishes. Is there anyway to block this user from the page? It’s getting ridiculous. Pascalruby (talk) 21:20, 24 November 2019 (UTC)

I’ve just got a message from someone saying that I may possibly be banned for reverting the same user’s edits... everyone else apart from that sole editor have shown that they want the page a certain way and yet I may be banned for going with the majority vote on how the page should look? Is there a way to ban a user? Duhaaacx (talk) 17:12, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

I'm the one who left edit-warring warnings on three users talk pages. When I look at the article history all I see is a ongoing edit war where everyone is reverting without discussion, barely any edit summaries and certainly no attempts to work this out other than calling for someone to be banned. I haven't managed to work out what the supposed preferred version is and who the "bad guy" is because this pretty lame edit-war has been going on for a long time. Rather than just call for someone to be banned try discussing why "one son and one daughter" is preferable to "a son and a daughter" or vice versa and check that there actually is a consensus for one version over the other. Wikipedia works on consensus and where there is disagreement Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle should be used, unfortunately things seems to have got stuck at Revert. I also find it worrying that Pascalruby says they don't have permission to edit this page which suggests that there are WP:OWN issues going one here as well. I advise everyone to step away from the article and concentrate on this, the talk page, until there is some agreement over the wording. Nthep (talk) 17:39, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

Austin Forsyth's birthday is actually today December 11, not December 13. He is 26 not 25. This can be verified by their official and verified instagram account in which Joy Anna posted a birthday message saying, "Today is Austin's birthday..." Their verified instagram account is @austinandjoyforsyth 24.111.23.35 (talk) 22:08, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

Not done: Instagram is not a reliable source. Please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Interstellarity (talk) 00:15, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

There is no source for the birthdate currently on there and it is incorrect. I don't know what other sources to share other than the fact that on their accounts and the Duggar family official account it is confirmed that today is his 26th birthday not December 13th. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.2.136.90 (talk) 05:55, 12 December 2019 (UTC)

Birthdate

Based on Birthdate listed for Josie, she should be 10 not sure why it doesn’t automatically update? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.2.136.90 (talk) 06:39, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Editing

Editors on this page, please give reason for edits unless they are minor edits so other editors can have an opinion as to whether or not they think it’s suitable to change it or leave it. Duhaaacx (talk) 10:40, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

Infant Ages

To step away from the potential of editing wars, can we discuss here what the preferred ageing for the children above 2 is?

Infant ageing (e.g. age 2 years and 4 months) or just toddler/child/adult ageing (e.g. age 2). Personally, I prefer just age 2, as a 2 year old is no longer classed as an infant but a toddler, and therefore infant ageing is not necessary unless the child is under 2 and still hurting crucial milestones.

Please provide thoughts. Duhaaacx (talk) 16:18, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

I agree that we only need the years for grandchildren 2 years and up. When kids reach 2 years, they are considered toddlers and most people stop keeping track of months.

Also thanks for your constant maintenance of this page. - BecauseIHadTo — Preceding unsigned comment added by BecauseIHadTo (talkcontribs) 20:07, 30 August 2020 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 17:54, 1 March 2021 (UTC)

Add back. (Redacted) Wifed71115 (talk) 07:38, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

That was removed because it violated our policies regarding content about living persons and also our manual of style for use of color. We won't be adding it back unless the names and dates are widely published in reliable, independent sources. Woodroar (talk) 12:29, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
