Notable residents
editWhoever deleted the aricle of notable residents should not have. Unless you have been to crowder, or have proof, that Dane is not one of the most notable residents in the city.
As Crowder is simply a school with a few houses around it, notable residents inside the school are notable residents of the community. As at least 4 residents of Crowder contributed to the article, I believe it should stay. Unless you can get 4 residents of Crowder who say Dane is not notable, You're only crippling your information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.150.110.231 (talk • contribs)
- Two of the core policies of Wikipedia are Wikipedia:Verifiability, which states that "editors should provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is challenged or likely to be challenged, or the material may be removed," and Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, which says, "Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material about living persons — whether the material is negative, positive, or just questionable — should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion." The material added passes neither of these acid tests for inclusion in Wikipedia. You must, at the very least, cite a reliable source if the information is to be re-added. Fine, I'll go get a resource, then type EVERYTHING again. So thank you for wasting at least and hour of my time for typing it again. I'll be back later with a resource.
And Dane-ism is not a biography, it's a parody religion...
I see you have Pastafarianism on here. Dane-ism is no different, only less famous. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.150.110.231 (talk • contribs)
- I'm not informed of the issue here, but I did happen to notice you saying all your work was lost. This is not so. You can go to the edit history of the page, and view any older version. You could simply view the page as it was with your edits, then copy and past it into your word processor to continue work on the article ~Pip 02:09, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
- Pastafarianism is verifiable through reliable sources, and is a notable exception to WP:MADEUP. Dane-ism can be included and even have its own article, but only if it has been the subject of coverage in reliable sources, such as books, newspapers, reliable websites, etc. Narthring (talk • contribs) 01:08, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
