Mutant?
editIn Secret War Daisy says she is not a mutant during her interrogation. Kokushishin 05:38, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- I seem to remember when Fury is talking to her in the texty bit at the back of one of the first issues, Fury states that she is not a mutant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.144.210.149 (talk) 17:07, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- This is correct, when they first introduced her in Secret War, she believes she is a mutant (as she was born with superpowers), but Fury tells her she doesn't have an X-Gene (so therefore she can't be classified as such). I don't know what to classify her, but the only other character I know with a similar situation is Vargas (comics). (I'm hesitant to call her a mutate as what's responsible for her powers happened pre-conception and to someone else).24.190.34.219 (talk) 05:53, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Secret Invasion

God, she likes her 'Secret' events. Looks like she's gonna be a big player in the Secret Invasion. Anybody think w should start a new section for her? Also, that confirms her age. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ixistant (talk • contribs) 15:59, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Director of SHIELD???
editI understand Battle Scars #4 specify Quake as Director of SHIELD (though I never saw an issue that actually promoted her to that position, since it was a pretty big deal when Hill/Stark/Osborn held that position). But in Uncanny Avengers #1, Maria Hill introduces herself as "Director of SHIELD" to Havok.
I'll have to re-read the current New Avengers arc, since Hill (and Quake) appear in it, so I'll see if that clarifies anything. 99.162.59.17 (talk) 19:07, 18 November 2012 (UTC)
New Avengers #31 makes a very clear reference to Maria Hill as "Director of SHIELD". And while the date a comic is published doesn't necessarily mean its place in continuity, Battle Scars finished several months ago and yet we've had two Marvel titles (Avengers titles, at that) refer to Hill as Director and not Johnson. 99.162.56.79 (talk) 20:55, 20 November 2012 (UTC)
Updated picture?
editI think it might be more representative to use a more recent picture, after the character was redesigned to look more like Chloe Bennet than Angelina Jolie.
I know Wikipedia doesn't always update comics characters' pages to their current look, but I think in this case it might be worth doing. While the SHIELD comic wasn't all that successful, she's appear in Avengers, Thanos, etc. since then, retaining her new look. At this wasn't just a new artist, or changing styles over the decades; Marvel deliberately redesigner her features (and her background, and her powers) to better accord with her MCU adaptation. Also, unlike, say, Spider-Man or Storm, this isn't a major character with a well-known look that people outside comics fandom were familiar with; she's famous because her MCU adaptation costars on a TV show. --157.131.246.136 (talk) 01:46, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
- The Marvel Database Fandom site uses an recent image (from Thanos Vol. 2 in 2017) on their page. I don't know if Wikipedia's copyright policy for comics images is the same as Fandom's, so I'll leave it to someone else to decide whether it's usable. --157.131.246.136 (talk) 01:48, 8 June 2019 (UTC)
