During part 79 of the Game Grumps' Ocarina of Time playthrough, published on June 13, 2016 Episode of Game Grumps Daniel commented wistfully on his desire to have his own page on Wikipedia, forlornly saying: "I wish I had my own, is that like sad? addition to gamegrumps section In mid-2013 Jon Jafari left the Internet show Game Grumps and Arin Hanson decided to replace him with Avidan.[Source: http://kotaku.com/fans-are-upset-over-youtube-duo-game-grumps-break-up-585225892] Apart from the YouTube series, Game Grumps moved to live performances at Hollywood Improv in late March 2016.[source: http://hollywood.improv.com/event.cfm?id=440599 ] Completely sold out, the event led to future performances in New York and other locations on the East Coast.
Addition to STARBOMB section In early 2016, Avidan performed with Starbomb at their first live event at SXSW to positive reception. [source: http://www.sxsw.com/news/2016/starbomb-and-tough-coded-performing-sxsw-gaming-awards ]

Contested deletion
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the person in the article does not have their own page. Hard work has been put in the page and still needs some resources, however it does not condone a deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vampress777 (talk • contribs) 19:38, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Vampress777: There are countless public figures without articles. However, this is usually due to the fact that they're either associated with something that has an article including them (i.e., Ninja Sex Party), or there just isn't enough standalone information to support an article of their own. Dan falls in both of these categories, unfortunately. Anthonymous 19:57, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Vampress777: The hard work is greatly appreciated, but that doesn't mean the subject meets WP:BLPNOTE. A case needs to be made that the subject should go beyond what could be found in the original Ninja Sex Party article. Something that shows that the person is notable outside of their narrow area/band/company/etc. Prof. Mc (talk) 20:04, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Vampress777: If Dan Avidan were only known for Ninja Sex Party, I agree it would make sense to delete the article. But he is also known for Game Grumps and Starbomb. In fact, at this point, it's hard to say whether he is better known for Ninja Sex Party or Game Grumps. It makes sense to keep this article as a link between those three other pages, as well as to document some personal information that has no place on other pages. There are some sourcing issues (and other editing issues) to be worked out, but this page was written today, so that's not really surprising. AwesomenessJunkie (talk) 00:13, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- @AwesomenessJunkie: As Prof. Mc stated, most of the information provided is within the initial Ninja Sex Party article. The rest of the content of the article is mostly trivial (the backstory of Dan's bass?) Why not just add a subsection to the band's article about the members' personal lives? snoɯʎuoɥʇuɐ 00:20, 14 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Snoɯʎuoɥʇuɐ: Most of the information isn't provided in the Ninja Sex Party article though. Dan's previous acts aren't included, nor is his broader discography. Additionally, with Skyhill still being active, NSP and Starbomb both active, and Dan being one half of Game Grumps, it seems a bit confusing as to why his only association would be Ninja Sex Party. To only associate him with either NSP or Game Grumps would be confusing. There's more than enough unique information to warrant this article, and there's more than enough associations to necessitate the need for a standalone piece about him. MattKercher (talk) 00:57, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
- @MattKercher: I'm aware, yes. I've changed my stance on the deletion, and have been working to revert this decision by increasing notability of the article. — snoɯʎuoɥʇuɐ 03:29, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
I do not feel it should be deleted, as I think there are enough web sources to support the article. Nonetheless, even if it is determined that the subject of the article is not notable enough to be included on Wikipedia, then it should be kept as a redirect page. I am, in fact, the creator of the page, and created it in 2014 as a redirect to the Ninja Sex Party article. -- Matthew - (talk · userpage · contributions) 20:22, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- @MatthewHoobin: Currently, the article only has two questionable sources to its name, with little information. I do believe it should be up for deletion. However, the notion of returning it to its original state would be more beneficial than deleting it outright, yes. Anthonymous 20:26, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
- I've argued for inclusion on the AfD. The basic gist of things is that while there aren't a lot of sources specifically focusing on Avidan, he is a part of two groups that have routinely charted on Billboard. This means that he has a substantial role in two notable groups. Now the notability for Game Grumps is a bit more shaky since it's very difficult to show notability for YT channels and popularity doesn't mean that something passes - PewDiePie's article got routinely deleted until 2014, well after he became one of the most subscribed people on YouTube. However offhand the article seems to pass and whether or not GG is notable is a bit moot, since Avidan would pass on his membership with NSP and Starbomb alone. Additions
I've (what I'd like to say is) thoroughly bolstered the article with additional information, as well as providing sources and much-needed organization. I've found all the information I can find with sources that are credible. Everything else is questionable. My point is that this is pretty much as lengthy as the article will become, I feel. If the consensus is that it's still eligible for deletion, I think it should just be deleted. Thoughts? — snoɯʎuoɥʇuɐ 03:59, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
My point is that this is pretty much as lengthy as the article will become, I feel.
- As a BLP for an active artist/personality, that is by definition incorrect. Future things will happen and over time, the article will grow along with its subject. ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 04:02, 19 June 2016 (UTC)- Yes, yes. Of course. I was just referring to the timeframe in which the article will be up for deletion. Basically, if the article, as it is, is not suitable for keeping, the addition of future information wouldn't really help the case all that much. — snoɯʎuoɥʇuɐ 04:13, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Page protection
I've placed a three month semi protection on this page since there's been quite a bit of vandalism to the article. It's not super steady, but it's steady enough and hopefully this will deter the vandals. If they keep it up past the expiration date then I'll set it for longer, possibly permanently. Change the picture of Dan and Brian in 2009 to the Present section. The picture displays his genitalia due to him not wearing a cup under the spandex. This is a request by Dan himself as he states in part 2 of him looking at this wiki page. I have included a picture below.

Updating information and Photos
Recently on Game Grumps, Dan Avidan put up a few videos where he corrected information on the page and requested certain pictures be changed. I think the information should be updated for accuracy and maybe the photos he doesn't like should be changed. Gabiduzit (talk) 02:59, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- Correcting inaccurate info is one thing; changing photos based on "I don't like this one" is another. With that Skyhill photo, for example, I'm pretty sure we would only swap it out if we had access to a similar one from the same timespan, as well as permission to use the new one. Please add, under Filmography > Web Series, the episode of A Brief History by FootofaFerret which Dan voices. 2016, as Himself(voice), one episode: "The History Of King's Quest". The episode in question can be viewed here.
A note about this may also bear adding to the sentence under Career > Other collaborations, which reads "Avidan has appeared on various YouTube webseries as a guest..." I don't think the added mention there is pertinent, though.
Thank you! RenardPrower (talk) 10:00, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
- @RenardPrower: Not done. This seems to be a very minor web series, not notable enough to warrant inclusion in Avidan's filmography. --IagoQnsi (talk) 16:36, 26 August 2018 (UTC)
After skimming through the notability page, I see why you might say this. However, it's not clear to me what factor of notability is holding back this specific credit. Is it that A Brief History has not become notable enough to warrant its own Wikipedia article? My failure to provide a secondary source mentioning this outing? Or something else? Each of these is contradicted by the presence of at least one other credit already listed under Avidan's filmography.
I apologize if I seem pushy; I only want to know if there's a way around the notability issue, and even if not, I'd like more insight about how to determine relative notability so that I'll know in the future. Thanks in advance for your response. RenardPrower (talk) 04:36, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

There's been a few other requests of this nature since the Game Grumps video(s) came out so maybe it's worth stating this as flatly as possible: The fact that Danny doesn't like the picture is irrelevant, Wikipedia needs free images for its articles (meaning images that are not copyrighted). If a good, free alternative is provided, the image can be changed; simple as that. --CaptainNtheGameMaster (talk) 14:48, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

Remove controversy topic and information. The original poster of the controversy stated one out of the three images involved was not actually Dan, and furthermore stated that they do not believe Dan is a groomer. On top of that, the subject of the controversy has come out and said they had a sexual relationship but did not know each other past a single conversation at 17 until she was 22.
