Death Wish 3 film location

edit

In this article, the following note appears: Although portrayed to take place in New York City, this movie was filmed entirely in London, England due to cost savings to film there. As a result, the extras (both police and gang members) were British... and so on. However, this is not entirely true. Although filming of the apartment location where Charles Bronson's character Paul Kersey lives was filmed in England, many street scenes were filmed in the East New York section of Brooklyn. The scene in which he purchases an ice cream and is robbed of a camera ( which he was using as bait ), was filmed on Glenmore Avenue just off the corner of Fountain Avenue. I know this because I remember when shooting occurred, as I was a resident of the area and lived just half a block from that location. There is also a scene when his character is running after a young thug with his neighbor (portrayed by Martin Balsam). During this scene, the street sign is visible which reads Van Siclen Avenue. Hmmmm. The details provided in the Production section lean almost entirely upon a single source--Paul Talbot's book. But that book was published by iUniverse, which is a vanity publisher, so I'm not sure any of that material should be kept without some sort of reliable corroboration. Thoughts? Do you have another published source in mind? There are a lot of online reviews, but rather little on production information. Dimadick (talk) 19:30, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

"[P]opular horror director, Stanley Kubrick." Stanley Kubrik directed exactly one Horror movie; The Shining. That single movie turns him into a "Horror director? I am changing this to simply "popular director."
