Removal of appearances list

edit

@200.119.60.66: I'm sure that some of the stuff in that section could be trimmed, but removing it seems excessive. Since I don't edit pages for fictional characters that often, I'll defer to precedent, if the consensus really is that this ought to be nuked. Thoughts? jp×g 01:38, 12 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Such an overly detailed listing for a fictional character's appearances is bloated, excessive, and not fitting for a general, all-purpose encyclopedia. That's fan wiki material. No other DuckTales character gets this treatment, so why should Della be any different. Especially considering she's a main character in a show that's still ongoing. This isn't a character with an extensive filmography that spans decades like Mickey or Donald or Goofy. 200.119.60.66 (talk) 02:10, 12 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

"younger twin sister"

edit

To say Della is Donald's younger twin sister doesn't make sense. To be a twin means to be born simultaneously with the other sibling, therefore being the same age. Cannot be older or younger. 104.172.112.209 (talk) 16:10, 6 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

@104.172.112.209 Twins are not born simultaneously. They are typically born several minutes apart, with multiple recorded cases of days or even weeks between twin births. To say Donald is the older twin simply implies he was the first of the two to be delivered and in no way conflicts with their status as twins. Alreadynext (talk) 16:20, 6 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
You're thinking of Donald and company as people, not birds, which is understandable. Still, in very rare cases two ducklings can hatch from a single egg. That's the only way two ducks could be called twins, and it all depends of whether the shell breaks such that one is "born" before the other, or if it breaks sufficiently to allow both to be free of it simultaneously.
Then again, considering Wikipedia's penchant for nonsensical pronouncements, I think they really do mean older by a year or more but still twins, at least in the sense of looking alike, in a cartoon way of course. 2600:4040:5D30:4800:E031:AEE0:F762:C8CA (talk) 03:49, 27 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
