History biased?
editThe history section is clearly biased. Someone with more knowledge than I about this should rewrite it to bring it to a neutral POV. ChronoSphere (talk) 18:50, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
- I removed the tag. I don't see anything wrong with the section. Mike H. Fierce! 09:19, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
The history section is not cited. Based on yearbooks, the Overseas Schools Historical Society and "3,500 Youths To Answer ET School Bells", Stars and Stripes, 20 September 1946, Bremen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Munich and Nurnberg high schools opened in Germany in the fall of 1946. Kubasaki and Yokohama high schools opened in Japan in the fall of 1946. This makes eight schools. W.T. Sampson High School in Cuba opened in 1931 and was eventually incorporated into DoDDS. This makes three high schools still open. The Frankfurt article has details on references.HokiePE (talk) 01:22, 23 August 2012 (UTC)
Grammar
editThe article needs a lot of proof-reading for spelling and grammar.211.225.34.159 (talk) 07:21, 3 July 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not finding spelling problems. There may be problems with military abbreviations that I don't recognize.
- Some parts need rewriting. Too chatty. Student7 (talk) 14:22, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Assistance needed to update this article
editFrom 2016 onwards, some of the school districts across DoDEA are merging and forming new districts. I have already sorted out the ones for Europe, which have downsized from 5 districts to 3, but I am going to need some help to get through the others, since I am only aware of the operations in the Europe area, not in Americas or the Pacific regions. If anyone has some spare time and knowledge of DoDEA and DoDDS/DDESS operations in these areas, your help would be warmly welcomed. Sunil The Mongoose (talk) 11:28, 22 July 2016 (UTC)

edit- "The old American standard, in which elementary schools run from kindergarten to sixth grade while high school serves seventh through twelfth graders." IS NOT CORRECT. My parents moved to Berlin in 1947 when I was 3. There were no kindergarten schools when I was the age for kindergarten and I went to a German kindergarten. In Frankfurt, Germany, I attended Elementary School from grades 4 - 8, 1953-1957, then went to Frankfurt American High school in 1958-59 for 9th grade. The high school in 1958-59 was 9-12. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.58.188.236 (talk • contribs)
