P4P's Drum
editThis says that Deryck plays drum on Reign in Pain and WWVII, but only during live performances. 1.I'm pretty sure that Sum 41 never played these songs live. 2.Concerning "Reign in Pain", drum is really easy and may have be played by Deryck, I didn't see any proof that he didn't recorded Drum for these songs.
I may be wrong, but I really think that I'm not. Ptido —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.130.8.254 (talk) 22:13, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Fixing needed
editThis article is a mess as evidenced simply by the first sentence:
"Deryck Jayson Whibley (born March 21, 1980), also known as Bizzy D, is a musician and a doctor and a person that works at city morge and producer better known for his work as the guitarist and lead vocalist and songwriter of Canadian pop punk Juno Award winning band Sum 41."
Doctor who works at the city "morge" indeed... --S.Reemas, Apr. 17, 2007
something should be added about his "artist series" guitar from Squier guitars. http://www.squierguitars.com i may do it later though.
Guitar section
edit"This guitar was discontinued in 2005"
Who wrote that? It was first manufactured in 2007!
Info box needs fixed
editSomeone hosed up the info box and I can't for the life of me figure out how. Mind correcting it? Coradon (talk) 09:24, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
Non-encyclopedic nature of some of the information
editI've just combined the three following subsections into this section, to address the issue of trivial information appearing at length in this article. I took the decision to remove a lot of it, trying to leave only information that is of more bibliographical value (rather than the song that played during the first dance at Whibley's wedding with his ex-wife, for instance). – I am axx (talk) 12:55, 29 July 2020 (UTC)
Sounds like a tabloid
editThis article reads less like an encyclopedia article and more like a tabloid. I think less about Whibley's personal exploits would be wonderful...they don't seem to be encyclopedic material. Any thoughts? – Thoroughbred Phoenix 03:00, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
Personal Life
editSurely Whibley had a personal life before he met Avril Lavigne – Speedboy Salesman (talk) 22:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Picture with the Avril Lavigne section
editIn the section about his marriage to Avril Lavigne, it has a picture of Deryk with the caption "Lavigne's ex-husband, Deryck Whibley". However this makes it sound like the article is about Avril Lavigne and since it isn't... the picture is also completely unrelated to their marriage. I suggest we either get a picture of Avril and have "Whibley's ex-wife Avril Lavigne" or change the caption to when and where Whibley is when playing and move the picture to somewhere more suitable. – 90.198.114.108 (talk) 11:36, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's because the entire section is copied and pasted from the Avril Lavigne article so it's written with her in mind. It needs re-writing completely imo. Anyway, I agree with having a picture of Lavigne rather than Whibley. – Zylo1994 (talk) 12:09, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
