Devon and East Plymouth (European Parliament constituency) → Devon and East Plymouth – Per WP:PRECISION, disambiguation should not be used unnecessarily. “Devon and East Plymouth” does not refer to any entity but this constituency. Gorobay (talk) 23:37, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- Weak oppose regarding subjective choice of WP:Criteria Consistency on the basis of Category:European Parliament constituencies in England in preference over WP:PRECISION. Clearly both rulings have relevance. Perhaps this is a genuine vote. Gregkaye ✍♪ 11:28, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- If there is support for this move, I will subsequently move all the other unnecessarily disambiguated articles in that category. Gorobay (talk) 12:42, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. UK parliamentary constituencies are always to have (UK parliamentary constituency) according to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (UK Parliament constituencies). The discussion that adopted that guideline did include European constituencies such as Yorkshire and the Humber (European Parliament constituency) and so unless/until that guideline is changed this article should stay where it is. Davewild (talk) 17:24, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose. Wikipedia:Naming conventions (UK Parliament constituencies) was validly adopted and WP:AT points to it, so this is an explicit exception to the normal rule regarding precision. Andrewa (talk) 10:58, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
