GA feedback

Disappointed to see this nomination failed. @Thecheeseistalking98: Which sources do you consider unreliable? ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:25, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

@Thecheeseistalking98: Can you please clarify how the article's layout is problematic? Would you prefer I merge the "Early life" content into "Personal life"? This would leave "Career" and "Personal life" sections, the pillars of a Wiki bio. ---Another Believer (Talk) 18:45, 22 December 2023 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but a 20-minute GA review is bordering on the absurd, and makes light of the nominating editor's time and effort put into improving the article. @Another Believer: you can believe me when I say there are plenty of editors out there more than willing to give this a fair shot should you choose to apply again in the future. For my part I've added some peer reviewed sources to the mix. There is also this article in The New York Times which covers Ritz's recent activism in support of performers from the recently-closed Chicago bar Berlin, if you'd like to take a look.[1] Regards,  Spintendo  09:45, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
Thank you. I've added this source to the article and intend to re-nominate for Good article status soon. ---Another Believer (Talk) 15:36, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

Well-written

Did a bit of copy-editing, and here's what I'm left with:

  • She also joined thousands for the Drag March for Change — for clarity, perhaps: "She also joined the thousands participating in the Drag March for Change"
  • Link "The Princess"
  • high points of the season — perhaps: "her high points within the season", to relate this more directly to her
  • She is a member of the House of Hall — in this sentence, perhaps more emphasis on the House of Hall being an in-show lineage? Because someone might perceive it along the lines of a charitable organization.

Verifiable with no original research

Essentially all sources are reliable. As a student publication, The Columbia Chronicle and Indiana Daily Student are fine for events in their community (their uses are also uncontroversial), the Yahoo! Life article isn't syndicated, and Pride.com and Screen Rant, which are mildly reliable, are primarily used for attributed opinion. No issues with close paraphrasing during my spot-check. The Screen Rant quote brings the Earwig score to 43% (27% in second place), but I believe its use is justified, it would be hard to express their sheer positivity another way. For the record, I paraphrased one part of The Columbia Chronicle quote.

Spot-check

Broad in its coverage

I've done a whole lot of looking for sources. Ritz seems on the more popular end of drag queens, considering how many mentions she has received over the years about her lip-sync. But, I think the article does a great job of balancing this with the other aspects of her time on Drag Race, and her other activities in general; there are some really great finds. The most detailed unused sources are drama ones, which... yeah no.

Neutral

Neutral as can be.

Stable

No recent content disputes or edit wars.
