Name Spelling
editDiezani Alison-Madueke spells her name with one 'l', although her husband's name is spelled with two 'l's. Online news sources use both spellings, but favor the single 'l'. User:Olikristinn has pointed out the following fairly convincing sources for the single 'l' version.

Controversy Section
editThe statement shown below is included in the Controversy section. The source cited is an article published on Hu Hu Online, however this article is not available. Unless a reliable source can be cited then the statement should be removed as it is not accurate.
A May 2010 report in Huhuonline.com noted that Diezani Alison-Madueke was both the Minister of Petroleum Resources and head of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. It claimed that she was using these positions to prevent a court-ordered lien being placed on an oil field operated by a company chaired by her husband, Retired Rear Admiral Allison-Madueke.

Wikipedia's guidelines regarding reliable sources and the possibility of single source bias should also be considered before allowing such a serious allegations to be included in the article. Alleged arrest
edit89.217.83.36, it is alleged because the NCA failed to confirm it and the police had previously denied the arrest, according to the report by Reuters. We can't add that she was arrested from just rumours circulating in the media (see WP:RUMOUR). Stanleytux (talk) 13:52, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
- From my perspective as an editor previously uninvolved with this issue, I just reviewed the inline citations carefully and added four more from a quick search. There were five arrests in total, not "five other people". The police never "denied the arrest"; they merely declined to publicise details of an active investigation. In fact, it appears that no reliable sources have publicly "denied the arrest" since its occurrence on 2 October 2015. Indeed, it was confirmed by Reuters, by the BBC, by Bloomberg News, by the Nigerian Government (a sign of progress for its anti-corruption efforts), and even by DA-M's family, so it's certainly not "just rumours". Despite the inline citations from multiple WP:Reliable sources, for nine months Stanleytux has been repeatedly rejecting the unanimous WP:Consensus of professional news reports and participating Wikipedia editors, all of whom plainly acknowledge DA-M's arrest:
- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.
- Enough already with these WP:Disruptive edits. Misconduct by DA-M is alleged. Her arrest is not.

- @Patrug: The police did not make any arrest. It's all rumors, rumors, rumors. The police clearly denied it "A police spokesman in London said they had no record of such an arrest. The National Crime Agency also failed to comment on whether she was really arrested.". The Nigerian government as well as many other news medias relied on what they heard from UK news agencies of course. If the police and the NCA are saying they don't know anything about the arrest, then who made the arrest? Stanleytux (talk) 10:19, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
