Requested move 27 March 2015
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Move to Digão (footballer, born 1985). We have consensus that he is not the primary topic of the term Digão, but that his real name is not well enough known to be WP:RECOGNIZABLE to readers. Digão will be a dab page. I hesitate to move Rodrigo Júnior Paula Silva without a direct discussion, though he will of course be included on the dab page. Cúchullain t/c 20:37, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
Digão → Rodrigo Izecson dos Santos Leite – Or something shorter. There is another footballer called Digão, whose full name is actually Rodrigo Júnior Paula Silva. I'm not confident about using his birth year as a disambiguator. I don't know how to find a reliable source to verify it, especially in Portuguese. Current title should be of a disambiguation page. --Relisted. George Ho (talk) 02:04, 4 April 2015 (UTC) George Ho (talk) 06:51, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- Support Digão is a common short form of Rodrigo in Brazil. pt:Digão pt:Rodrigo Izecson dos Santos Leite etc. In ictu oculi (talk) 07:14, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
- Move instead to Digão (footballer, born 1985). His legal name fails WP:RECOGNIZABLE for all but the biggest fans. While we're at it, move Rodrigo Júnior Paula Silva to Digão (footballer, born 1988). --BDD (talk) 20:28, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

- Support suggestion by BDD - He's commonly known as Digão, so that's what the article should be called; all else is mere disambiguation. – PeeJay 08:21, 12 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Snowman, PeeJay: I don't know which sources are reliable to verify his birth year. Therefore, I could not propose or accept the alternative title. --George Ho (talk) 05:34, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- Soccerway is reliable. GiantSnowman 07:10, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- according to CBF document which was took offline, soccerway is correct (born 7 May 1988). Moreover his CBF id was 172038. Matthew_hk tc 10:54, 13 April 2015 (UTC)
- You meant the other Digao, Matthew_hk? George Ho (talk) 05:10, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
- yes, assume GiantSnowman refer to that one too. Matthew_hk tc 13:37, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
