- "Tone" - the article addresses the reader in a chatty, second-person manner, e.g. "your social crowd"
- "Refimprove" - much of the article lacks independent 3rd-part sources

- I was surprised to be redirected here from *Web_presence*.
Whilst I see that the boundaries are blurred, a footprint is something that you leave behind as you move on and a "presence" something that one has at a given time. I do not consider my usage statistics to be part of my web presence but they are certainly part of my digital footprint. Similarly, while my current web site and my Facebook page are both certainly part of my web presence, I do not see them as being part of my digital footprint. However the search engine links to pages on my site I have recently deleted do belong to my footprint. A-Amos (talk) 13:42, 5 November 2011 (UTC) Everything in the article was relevant to the topic a hand. The information was clear and concise and didn’t distract from what the page was about. Each fact came from a reliable source and reference and the links were connected to other pages to help the understanding of other key words in the text. Since the world and technology is every changing and evolving, the page could use some updated to more go with the world as of today. - Kelseynicole23 (talk) 04:21, 1 February 2018 (UTC)

merge from data exhaust
editdata exhaust is another fancy name for the digital trail/footprint/... all of us leave everywhere that is used slightly less frequently than its alternatives. At best, the term describes the more passive side of the digital footprint[1], which is, however, also already partially covered in her. IMHO a merge is recommendable. -- Kku (talk) 13:03, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose, as I think that there are distinct topics here. Digital footprint is related to the tracing of an individuals activities; data exhaust relates to relates to intermediate calculations or data that accumulate through processes that may or not be related to an individual's activity. Klbrain (talk) 08:35, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- Closing; no merge, given the uncontested objection and no support. Klbrain (talk) 11:40, 4 April 2023 (UTC)
