Don Stewart (Ontario politician) → Don Stewart (Canadian politician) – Don Stewart is a federal politician. He should be referred to as Canadian because of that, as is already the case of the opening of the article. "Ontario politician" is a more appropriate designation for members of Ontario's Provincial Parliament, not the House of Commons. Patriot of Canuckistan (talk) 01:43, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose as proposed Donald Stewart shows two additional Canadian politicians with the name, including one other named Don Stewart. The provincial disambiguator is sufficient and tracks with how we handle such American disambiguators, though an alternative could be Don Stewart (Canadian politician, born X year) for both. Curbon7 (talk) 11:39, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Note that the two other Stewarts are both provincial/territorial politicians, not federal. Patriot of Canuckistan (talk) 19:29, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose and 100% oppose any longer disambiguation. The page is sensibly where it should be given the many other Don Stewart politicians. —Joeyconnick (talk) 19:56, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose per above. If we can't use the country for disambiguation then we use the next level down, which in this case is the province he represents. It doesn't necessarily mean he's a member of the provincial legislature. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:30, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
