This is more about the remake

edit

It's been a while since I've seen it, but isn't the plot outline from the remake and not the original? I don't recall any "madame with secrets of her own" in the original. Also, the cast list is DEFINITELY for the remake.

I've updated the cast list, but unless someone tells me otherwise, that plot has got to go.--Cal42 18:12, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree. I'll re-watch the original and update this article when I do. Dyl 23:40, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hong Kong

edit

Please do not add the film as a Hong Kong production. Despite King Hu's work and influence in Hong Kong Cinema, the film is a Taiwanese production because it was made by a Taiwanese production company. Per MOS:FILM, that is how we (and the general film industry) label countries of production. Andrzejbanas (talk) 19:51, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please do not subjectively revise the historical fact that Hong Kong film director King Fu and his crew, cast' work as Taiwan cinema. And do not remove the resource of the scientific research done by film scholar David Bordwell. King Fu's Dragon Inn was Hong Kong filmmakers' work which shot in Taiwan. I agree with this statement, and I saw you removed the resource without agreement. [1] Identifiew2 (talk) 14:47, 1 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

It does not matter where the film was shot or the nationality of the people who made it. country of production is strictly based on where the films production company was from. In this case, Taiwan. Andrzejbanas (talk) 15:06, 1 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Several sources back up what I state here, such as this, here, and here. Its a Taiwanese production. Do you know how film production works? Milos Forman went to the states to make films, but they are not Czech productions. Andrzejbanas (talk) 15:15, 1 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
