Queen Anne
editMonarchs are never peers in their own realms. That is a matter of law. Hanoverian monarchs can hold British peerages, and British monarchs can hold German peerages, but British monarchs cannot hold British peerages, and Scottish monarchs cannot hold Scottish peerages, etc. As soon as Anne became monarch, she was no longer a peeress. See related point at Talk:Duchess of Edinburgh#Elizabeth II was Duchess of Edinburgh until she became Queen. DrKay (talk) 19:31, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
