Oldest in UK? / clean-up
edit- See "The Last Projectionist" (2012, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1966607 ). It claims The Electric Cinema in Birmingham is "the UK's oldest working cinema" - needs clarifying properly here AND on the Electric Cinema wiki page.
- Oldest building in continuous use, i.e. hasn't closed. Antikewl (talk) 23:08, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
- I have just clarified the text to mirror what they state on their own site: "lays claim to being the oldest cinema in continuous use in the country" Antikewl (talk) 23:15, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
- Also the Can Can legs prose is unclear. If they came from the Oxford theatre, how could they have been "commissioned" by "one of the cinema's previous managers" (presuming here, this means one of the Brighton Picture House's previous managers)? We are not mind readers; clarify with much more detail.
- Have clarified and added citation. Antikewl (talk) 23:08, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
- Clean-up generally. Messy article missing many vital details about it's likely history, and cites to remove original research issues. Also, modern features (eg. digital projection?), Picture House in the North Laine (Comedia?) expansion venture. More and tidier, with proper sections please. (some further pix of the place when run-down and at other times in it's illustrious history would also improve the article, if can be traced.) Jimthing (talk) 05:59, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
