Needs a overhauling !!!
editThis artcle seems to outdated and proper details has to written here. e.g; Per capita income of kerala in this article is gives the idea that kerala lags behind india in this indicator, actually that was an outdated data. Now kerala is well above the national average in per capita income. Like this many things has to updated. So let us put an effort to overhaul this article, and let the world knows the truth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nubin wiki (talk • contribs) 17:53, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
YES, needs a lot of overhauling
editHere is an example. "Kerala lags behind many other Indian states and territories in terms of per capita GDP (11,819 INR[1]) and economic productivity." In a state were a large portion of wealth comes from overseas, per capita GDP is a very poor indicator of economic welfare. GDP only looks at production within the state and does not take into account money from abroad. Also, according to wikipedia "Per capita income means how much each individual receives, in monetary terms, of the yearly income generated in the country." The last part ("in the country") is key. I am not sure foreign remittance is considered as income generated in the country. Even if it is considered as income, I am not sure a lot of people would report foreign remittances to the government or its taxation authority. In Kerala's case consumer spending is probably the best indicator of economic strength since this would take into account foreign remittances. I read somewhere that consumer spending in the state is among the top three if not the highest in the country. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.212.174.241 (talk) 10:00, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

Top 10 event management companies?
editWhy is this section relevant? Or why this specific type of company? It reads like an advertisement. Also no cited sources.117.202.49.193 (talk) 11:32, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Contradictory statements
editThe per capita income given in the first paragraph as well as in the information box for the same period (2020-21) differs by USD 1000. Most sources show it as 3400-3700. Correction is required. 103.154.37.161 (talk) 06:24, 31 December 2021 (UTC)
