Edward F. Davis → Ed Davis (police commissioner) – WP:COMMONNAME; Davis is more commonly known as "Ed" not "Edward", such as in WBZ television's official biography. Also, a search for "Ed Davis" Boston police returns over 80k google results while "Edward F Davis" boston police around 11k. Arbor to SJ (talk) 22:08, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
- Support - Multiple books and news articles use the name. Though I'm not fully enthusiastic with the proposal, those source prove that the name and descriptive phrase are more used often than the current name. --George Ho (talk) 10:06, 5 March 2017 (UTC)
