WP:Overlinking

edit

Adding links to words like "guitar" or "recording" is just plain stupit. 201.141.91.131 16:35, 27 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Burns-shoot.jpg

edit

Image:Burns-shoot.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 15:56, 1 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Song and other

edit

Probably worth mentioning that She appeared on stage at carlisle-Brampton live Festival on the 20th of july(i was there, and it was very good) and also in the article it says she performed the song Ay Fond Kiss, Although it is actually Ae Fond Kiss

-Songs- she has a song called Nobody Lives Without Love from the Batman forever Soundtrack. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.163.48.209 (talk) 17:51, 26 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is that her on Thomas Dolby's "Cruel"? Frunobulax (talk) 17:14, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Err, 20th of July what year? In any case I don't think it wise to start listing every Festival appearence Eddie or any other artist makes in her/their career. Occasions of notable significance for the artistes and/or the wider world (e.g. The Stones at Altamont) would be worth mentioning, but "I was there and it was very good" doesn't, I suggest, quite cut it.87.81.230.195 (talk) 21:48, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Birthday

edit

Hi, two accounts claiming to be Eddi (sadenia, 217.36.225.39) are trying to change the birthday of Eddi. The only source we seem to have is the NME article (which contradicts «Eddi»). Do we have any source supporting «Eddi»? Could someone try to get a scan of her passport and put it online?--Oneiros (talk) 12:21, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

IMdB also claims 28th as does MSN Music and the sidebar on this BBC news item. There was a similar DOB conflict on the Art Bergmann article which was resolved once the DOB on that artist's official website was updated (that is, correcting through primary source). Similarly here, we should stick with WP:V. Dl2000 (talk) 18:23, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
The MSN Music bio is just a repeat of Allmusic's bio, but that's still 5 good sources for the 28th (including the NME reference already in the article). Do we need to add some of these extra references to the article? -- Foetusized (talk) 20:38, 17 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's starting again.--Oneiros (talk) 20:33, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
What's starting again? The change in birth date is now sourced to the biography on her website "Sadenia Reader was born and spent her formative years in Glasgow. Contrary to much published information, her birthday is August 29th (not the 28th). Various years have been quoted, particularly when her ‘pop’ profile was high, but 1959 seems to be correct." -- Foetusized (talk) 00:53, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

First Person Tonality

edit

Without deprecating any other content in the article, I believe the comment "She also enjoys to take Burns' 'words' so far from the original manuscript that they become almost unidentifiable and irrelevant to our ancient culture" has a distinct first-person tone which calls for a less "our" centric perspective. It also could use some citations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frankenab (talkcontribs) 01:54, 16 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge

edit

I've started a discussion about my proposal to merge the two versions of Eddi's Robert Burns albums here - any contributions either against or in favour? ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 16:41, 4 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
