The list of systems supporting EDLs should contain FORscene [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] Stephen B Streater (talk) 09:13, 25 March 2010 (UTC)
- Or maybe there are now simply too many systems supporting EDLs to itemise individually in an article. Stephen B Streater (talk) 17:14, 30 March 2010 (UTC)
Not too technical
editCurrently, the page is marked as "too technical". I don't think it is. The first paragraph explains what an EDL is, and should be clear enough for anybody: "An edit decision list or EDL is used in the post-production process of film editing and video editing. The list contains an ordered list of reel and timecode data representing where each video clip can be obtained in order to conform the final cut."
"Normal" people shouldn't need more than that, but most people coming to this page probably do need more, and would like to have more technical details. I would suggest removing the "Technical" tag. Albert25 (talk) 14:15, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
- I think there is some leftover style from when the sections about EDL support did not make it clear that there are many different EDL formats. --AVRS (talk) 11:03, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
- I agree 100%. In fact, when I came to that page, I was expecting to get more information.
- Ok, I am a tech guy, but I think that Wikipedia should have interesting content for me as well! 2603:300A:1E17:1600:9DF4:3A84:B27C:9DF3 (talk) 02:32, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
