editThere is a lot of stuff in this article that didn't make sense. I have either: rewritten those parts or in some cases completely removed the text as it made absolutely no sense. A lot of this sounds like it was translated from the internet, using an online translator. If the text that was removed was important, please put it back but make sure it is understandable this time. Article Still Needs a Rewrite
editMuch of this article is still unintelligible... Unfortunately, the language associations are so unfamiliar to me that I can't correct it, so that it can make sense... Much of it appears to need to be rewritten from scratch... Stevenmitchell 17:23, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
I corrected the grammar mistakes. Re-wrote most of the sentences.
I supplied 2 sources regarding the name of Elafonisos as recorded by Pausanias and Strabo. I also corrected the claim that Mr Kroupis and Mr Stamoulis research is the one that verifies the existence of of a statutary of Artemis in the region. Since such research is non-existent, unless Mr Kroupis and Mr Stamoulis are able to supply a source which verifies their academic research which led to this discovery. Pausanias text is available through the perseus project[[1]]
Also i corrected the name Elafonissos, since it is recorded as Elafonisos in the official maps. And there is no official map that contains the term Elafonissos.

Mr Kroupis and Mr stamoulis must stop immediately with their propaganda of altering the term Elafonissos in order to get a better google ranking for their website elafonissos.gr Iask from the moderators to be aware of such an edit. They have done so in every single wikipedia language, and i have dealt only with this particular english article, but as it seems all the Elafonisos articles are damaged serving commercial interests. The mods must be aware, and the above mentioned individuals should realize that wikipedia is not an advertising organization. Also their website elafonissos.gr is not the official website of the community and above all it is not in the English language in its entirety, elafonisos.net is entirely in Greek, and elafonisos.biz is entirely in English. The official site of the community of Elafonisos elafonisos.gr is not up and running yet. I will edit the website and put www.elafonisos.biz in this particular article for the simple reason that elafonisos.biz is entirely in English and compared with the other 2 alternatives elafonissos.gr and elafonisos.net it is the most suitable for the english version of the Elafonisos wikipedia article until the official site of the Island elafonisos.gr is uploaded.
I ask from the mods to be aware of these changes. Regards.
