Cancer
editI think she was diagnosed with cancer on May 31st 2005, not June 2005, source: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/06/21/AR2005062100087.html
Why no pic?
editI can't believe that Eleanor Mondale has a successful radio gig and not a promotional pic to be found anywhere. Jessemckay (talk) 23:35, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
Death notices
editI don't want to stifle people contributing to the article, but (with perhaps a stretch in interpretation) per WP:BLP I'm going to be reverting any additions of the death notice as vandalism. I know I've looked at all my usual death notice sources and cannot find anything, so its not like I haven't tried to source it myself when it was first brought up. If people can provide a definitive, reliable source then please do and we'll update the article. I have a tiny suspicion that someone somewhere confused Eleanor Mondale with Eleanor McGovern, who did indeed die on the date suggested...and updated the IMDB entry. - Agreed. I also tried to find mention of it on CNN, Yahoo News and MSNBC and there is nothing. I checked the obituaries in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune and there is nothing. MFNickster 19:11, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Triumph on MSNBC (2004).jpg
editImage:Triumph on MSNBC (2004).jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 02:13, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Seeking consensus on notability of Mondale's past relationships
editI'd like to seek consensus here on whether the fact that Mondale dated Warren Zevon, Ronald Perelman and James Belushi in the past. Twice, User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz has removed this as "unimportant gossip," and twice in the last 24 hours, I have reverted that user's edit. Lest I fall victim to the Three-revert rule or get into edit warring, I'd far prefer that we seek consensus here at this talk page. My rationale is simple: the definition of "gossip" is pretty subjective. This article has clearly sourced material from reliable sources, verifying that she dated these very noteworthy individuals. 69.209.219.54 29 September 2011 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.209.219.54 (talk) 21:16, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- See, for example, the parallel discussion at Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard/Archive133#Jessica_Biel_Personal_section ans the followups. Wikipedia is not a repository for celebrity journalism; it is an encyclopedia. That half the personal life section is devoted Monica Lewinsky's supposed jealousy of Mondale and related rumor/speculation is wretched tabloidery. More needs to be removed from this article, rather than being restored. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 21:49, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Although this is seven years later, the first thing I noticed about this article was the gossipy tone in the personals section. It should justifiably reflect her marriages, but who she dated is irrelevant considering she is by now obscure.AlexanderSoul (talk) 21:55, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Allegations
editI believe that "allegations" of sexual relationships and rumors per se are inappropriate for an encyclopedia. In addition, the book in question has been discredited by the FBI. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bonhomem (talk • contribs) 22:10, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
