Main Character?
editWhy is she considered a main character when Bob isn't? Jiggz84 02:39, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- Because Kristen Bell is listed as a main cast member by NBC. It's their call. ZZ Claims ~ Evidence 02:52, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
and she's hotter than bob :P in any case thanks to whoever could actually remember where the blackout/fire were LIMEY 01:34, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- On that note, since Bob is apparently her father, shouldn't that be mentioned somewhere? I'd just add it, but with only this one link I figure asking is a better tact. — Someguy0830 (T | C) 08:04, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, we should move the page to Elle Bishop, too. Therequiembellishere (talk) 02:12, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Good Article review
edit- Why the ref-source in the intro?

- Please explain/add in a few words what exactly the Company is so that the reader doesn't have to click it to understand
- Done Fixed. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- The first paragraph of "Appearances" mentions Peter, Will, Ricky and Bob - explain in the text who are these people so that readers unfamiliar don't have to click on their names first. If these people aren't important for understanding Elle, don't mention them. The same for Noah Bennett, the Haitian, Sylar and Issac, Maya and Molly, Claire, Eden

- The "Main series" section tries to give a detailed fictional chronology of the revelations. Although half of the fun of Heroes is the revelations, this is unnecessary in an encyclopedia trying to explain the character (and not the storyline) to the reader. Compare to e.g. the first paragraph of Vala_Mal_Doran#Character_arc about the backstory, the rest can be written in chronological order like currently.

- "indicating that he has lost faith and trust in her." - sounds like original research
- Done Fixed. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- "Elle's latest appearance" - add "as of" or write "Elle's latest appearance in Season 2" - it sounds too recentism-istic otherwise
- Done Fixed. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- Provide information in "In literature" if her appearances there take place before her appearances in the TV series, or afterwards, or in parallel
- Done Fixed. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- there are a lot of weasel phrases in the "Powers and abilities" section: "Bob had stated on some occasions" - when? "Bob had often prompted" - when? Generally, more sources are needed in this section, even if it is just the name of the relevant episodes
- Done Fixed. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- Quotes (e.g. in the "Characteristics" section) require sources directly after the quote. Additionally, the sentence "Because of that, Elle comes off as more of a victim" sounds like original research even though it may be what the actress said. Indicate what the source of this information is, either by paraphrasing or sourcing.
- Done Fixed. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- I have made good experiences moving the "Concept and creation" section to the top. The "Characteristics" section may be merged there as well. But you don't have to do this if you don't like, this is just a suggestion for future improvement.

- image fair use rationales etc. are okay

- (Added later:) Concerning Good article criteria #3 (broad coverage) - this article lacks a reception section.
- Done I wrote a somewhat short one, but I believe it is a decent size considering how many appearances Elle has made on the series. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 00:20, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Other notes: This article is very heavy on primary sources. If you plan to take this article to Featured Article Candidates, consider removing about half of the information sourced by primary sources. I am at this time also unable to comment on the quality of the prose because I expect some trimming in the major "Appearance" section". (The prose is not bad though). I am therefore putting this article on hold for the next seven days. Thank you for your work so far in improving this article, and good luck improving the article to GA status. will startfinished the reception sectionvery soon! Thanks for the review, its really appreciated. -Lindsey8417 (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2008 (UTC)- Very nice. All my concerns have been addressed (even much better than I initially expected), so I promote this article to Good Article. Advice for the future so that the article doesn't endanger its GA status: Depending on how long the character's arc will be in the end, there should be some care to keep the balance of in-universe content in the "Appearances" and the real-world content in other sections. The current balance is very good. – sgeureka t•c 15:27, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I was planning for that in the future. However, I'm not going to worry too much as Elle will, according to contract, stay on the series for 13 episodes. If she extends her stay (YAY!), then I can work it out, but until then, considering the little appearances, it should be fine. Thanks for the promotion! -Lindsey8417 (talk) 03:33, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Major well-done! This would appear to be the only Heroes character article written from an out-of-universe perspective! ~ZytheTalk to me! 00:01, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
editCyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

editSylar doesn't kill Elle for her abilities. He kills her in S3 E12 after the solar eclipse, and he has had her abilities for a long time. She was the first one that taught him he didn't have to kill to take them... I thought wiki pages were fact checked 8( 174.28.43.215 (talk) 02:40, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
