Marriage
editThough not usable in Wikipedia, as it's original research WP:OR, according to FreeBMD… The marriages of three people named Eric Lockwood were registered in Wakefield and Lower/Upper Agbigg; January→March 1948 to Anna Clegg, January→March 1953 to Doris Tootell, and April→June 1956 to Brenda Armitage, are any of these the marriage of Eric Lockwood? Death location?
edit@DynamoDegsy: - I'm trying to find missing dates of births/deaths for different articles. Thanks for the work you did on this article. There's no reference as to his date of death or where it occurred. I can't find it in the England death index on Ancestry, which goes through 2015. Did he emigrate somewhere else? Thanks! —МандичкаYO 😜 01:41, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi @Wikimandia: - It didn't help that the original webpage had been deleted, so I've added an archived version… Eric Lockwood RIP. The original webpage was posted on 3 March 2017 and states that "…Eric Lockwood, passed away last Thursday" so that would infer a death date of 27 February 2014. The webpage states that "He regularly attended (Wakefield) Trinty home games…" which would infer he still lived local to Wakefield. The Wikipedia article makes reference to his nickname being "Jim", I believe this may have been added by a family member, but there is no evidence of Eric Lockwood being named "James", so perhaps "Jim" was te nickname of his middle-name, does the England death index have an entry for a James/Jim Lockwood in the Wakefield, or adjacent districts, in that period? Best regards. DynamoDegsy (talk) 10:53, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
- @DynamoDegsy: Thanks for that info - unfortunately nothing comes up. I looked up all the deaths of Lockwoods in 2014 and even looked up everyone who died in the UK on that specific date and there's no match. It's frustrating because it's not like the information isn't available yet - there's about 75 people who died on that date in the UK who were born from 1931-1933. It may be a computer issue where there is a typo where the name or date are being misread, but unfortunately there's no way to browse the original computer scans. Or it's possible he was adopted by a stepfather but later preferred to use his own name, although the only Erics or James who died around that time were born in 1930 or 1931. The closest match is a Peter Lockwood who died 23 February 2014 in Lincolnshire, but no birth year is available. Anyway, if you find any alternative info let me know, or if you want me to look up anyone others I'm happy to. —МандичкаYO 😜 12:03, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
