Gameplay modes Escape from Tarkov is going to feature several game modes, including:

Implemented PMC Survival: You use your main character with any gear that you want to bring into a Raid. You can pick up any gear from other players or AI that you kill, as well as Loot from random Locations. If you die, you lose everything that you brought in and what you've found in the Raid with the exception of the items in your secure container. In order to survive and extract with any gear you picked up, you have to make it to an extraction point. Scav: You go into a Raid as Scav, the AI Faction, with a random set of gear. You face off against PMCs and potentially other Scav Players. Any loot gathered by the player as Scav can be transferred to the main character, while dying as a Scav has no penalty. In order to survive and extract with any gear you picked up, you have to make it to an extraction point. If you shoot your fellow Scavs, they will defend themselves. Planned Story Mode Player Hideout with shooting range Open World Mode without time limits wherein all Maps are connected Arena Mode

The insertion happened here in 2018. I marked with a Wikia Content template but now realize that the site and the default license for Gamepedia includes non-commercial, so the text isn't allowed to be used so any text that still resembles the addition needs to be removed or rewritten. With the current updates being made to the game this article is quickly becoming a source of semi-outdated information. One specific instance is the phrasing of the functionality of the flea market. One of the most recent patches (0.12.6.7526) introduced a found in raid limitation to the player (flea) market. As a result while players can buy and sell at traders while not in a raid only specific found in raid loot is able to be put onto the player (flea) market. Beyond this I found that the features involving the hideout only pointed to a single benefit, reduced scav cooldown. The hideout has much more functionality than just this and I will be looking to add some of those features to said line as well. Here is a potential example of my edit with new sections bolded:

"While not in a raid, players can sell unwanted loot to traders, and purchase new equipment. These traders also task the player with completing quests which increase their trader loyalty, enabling access to more items and quests. Alternatively if loot is marked "found in raid" it can also be listed on the flea market for direct sale to players for a fee[1]. Players have an upgradeable 'Hideout' living area, which is an underground bomb shelter that - once upgraded with scavenged or purchased materials - gives the players in-game bonuses. These bonuses include but are not limited to reducing the cooldown timer to play as a scav, bitcoin farming, item crafting and access to endgame barter items.[2]"

@Npb5183: Please find independent reliable sources for new content additions - we should avoid using the game's own website so that we can filter what's important to talk about. The Streets of Tarkov map has been released, the article is in need of some updates.

Here is the Synopsis - Setting section below:

"Escape from Tarkov is set in the fictional city of Tarkov, the capital of the Norvinsk Special Economic Zone in Northwestern Russia between the years 2015 and 2026. Political scandals and collapse of corporations have resulted in the social breakdown of Tarkov and warring factions have turned the city into a shell of itself with sections of the city being under control of aggressive locals called "scavs". Streets of Tarkov as of March 2020 is a location under development and was planned to come out sometime in 2021. A free-roam option that would combine all the locations into one is also planned, providing open-world gameplay.."

The intro section is accurate and well stated but a possible edit for the second half is in bold below, any feedback would be much appreciated, not sure if the style matches and this potential edit is pretty dense with no pre-existing maps section. The open-world has been discussed on developer podcasts but I cannot find a solid source for that.

"Escape from Tarkov ... sections of the city being under control of aggressive locals called "scavs". The playable area within Tarkov is currently accessible to players through nine unique areas, (Customs, Factory, Interchange, The Lab, Lighthouse, Reserve, Shoreline, Streets of Tarkov, Woods), with three more under development (Suburbs, Terminal, and Town) as well as a player versus player arena confirmed on an official EFT-run twitter account [1].

In the Synopsis/Setting section, it says:

"A new map featuring heavy urban warfare called "Streets of Tarkov" was added on December 28th 2023"

Move: There are currently nine available maps for players; each one being a different abandoned region of the city: Customs, a large outdoor industrial park; Factory, the interior of a small chemical plant; Interchange, a huge shopping mall; The Lab, a secret research facility operated by an organization called TerraGroup; Lighthouse, an expansive map with a cargo train station, water treatment plant, chalet homes, and an island with a lighthouse; Reserve, a secret military base; Shoreline, a large map with multiple areas including a hydroelectric power plant, villages, and a health resort; Streets of Tarkov, a section of the downtown area of Tarkov; and Woods, a formerly state-protected wildlife reserve. There are three more maps under development, Suburbs, Terminal, and Town.

An option that combines all the locations into one, providing open world gameplay, is also planned.[14][15]

The rogues aren't friendly to any faction besides their own, they are just slightly less aggressive to usecs and wont fire upon them from as far. under Criticism, 2024 DLC. The prices are mentioned for The Unheard Edition and the Edge of Darkness Edition but this is without taxes and fees. There is a fee and a 25% VAT that includes the fee. When paying with PayPal, the fee is €25.96 for a total of €344.95 for The Unheard Edition in the "Europe" region. In the U.S. it would be €318.92. In the CIS region, it is 11,000₽ before taxes and fees with a total of €159.72. (prices may differ based on Currency fluctuations.
