Cast Billing
editBecause there is no billing block on the poster (as with most Netflix films; just putting actor names on a poster =/= billing), the Starring section in the Infobox, per the Template:Infobox film guidelines, should "use the top-billed actors from the screen credits". In this instance, the top-billed talent (single-screen credit in alignment with SAG guidelines) is: Will Ferrell, Rachel McAdams, Dan Stevens, Melissanthi Mahut, Mikael Persbrandt, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Graham Norton, Demi Lovato, Pierce Brosnan.
Figured I’d open it here on the Talk page to see if anyone else had an input. Cheers! TropicAces (talk) 19:07, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed, should be included. – Thjarkur (talk) 19:10, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- Two names are listed on the poster. That is considered "billing". Those are the only names that should be listed in the infobox.--JOJ Hutton 18:17, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- right but that’s not “billing”, it’s the two names. The single-screen cast in credits-which aligns with a billing block when posters have them-is what you go off of when the poster does not have a block (per the WP:infobox). TropicAces (talk) 14:42, 6 July 2020 (UTC)tropicAces
- You disegree BUT you are still edit warring and have ingored several WP:BRD questions that you appear to have violated.--JOJ Hutton 18:36, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

I’m literally citing Wikipedia’s own guidelines on how to handle this exact situation, I can’t tell if this is a troll or not... TropicAces (talk) 20:26, 6 July 2020 (UTC)tropicAces
- Jojhutton, I don't see an issue with TropicAces's approach here. His reverts appear to be based in policy, while your objections have moved from an initial citing of the infobox's instructions to more procedural claims about reaching consensus (which is lacking on both sides). The material added/removed does not amount to vandalism or anything other than honestly an annoyance for one party at this point. I suggest asking the question at Wikipedia:WikiProject Film as they manage the Infobox and are probably more familiar with what's expected to be included or not included. Template:Infobox film says "Insert the names of the actors as they are listed in the billing block of the poster for the film's original theatrical release.[1] If unavailable, use the top-billed actors from the screen credits. Other additions by consensus."
I remember several boring discussions about this and the whole point of the guideline restricting the cast list was to avoid having an excessively long list of cast in the Infobox, and provide some reasonable and objective limit. The poster billing block provided a relatively standard way to do that, but the point was to make it easier to come to a reasonable consensus. Ten cast members is not excessive, no one should waste any time reverting a good faith effort to improve the article. That last bit about "Other additions by consensus" is more emphasis that this wasn't worth arguing about, if there is discussion it is fine to be more flexible and include more names based on WP:LOCALCONSENSUS. Worry less about strict rules and take other peoples edits to add to the article on WP:GOODFAITH.
Ultimately whatever conclusion the discussion comes to it doesn't matter so long as there is a comment in the wikisource indicating the rationale or consensus (which I'm glad to see is already included) so that some idiot like me doesn't come along and try to make unwanted changes. -- 109.79.178.201 (talk) 16:50, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
Alternate nationalities
editAre we including alternate nationalities in the list of Eurovision contestants making cameos? I see the Moroccan flags have been added for both Hassani and Loreen, however, by this standard, Matador should also have the flag of DR Congo and Lundvik should likely have the flag of the UK (not sure if he has citizenship, so not sure if that would be required). Some clarity on this would be nice, until then I will remove the Moroccan flags. Toffeenix (talk) 09:51, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
- It's not showing nationalities of the contestants, it's showing which nation they had appeared at the contest representing. Grk1011 (talk) 15:01, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
It is now, but it wasn't then. Two contestants had Moroccan flags despite obviously having not represented Morocco. Toffeenix (talk) 12:29, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
- I understand. I'm just explaining what the original intent of the flags was so that we can refer back to here if there is a question later on. Grk1011 (talk) 21:01, 9 July 2020 (UTC)
The article must include text and clearly explain which countries a performer represented (or what country they are from, or both). The flags are visual clutter, more distracting than helpful, and I would recommend removing the flag decorations entirely. Also please remember this is an article about a fictional film "The Story of Fire Saga" and the emphasis should be on the film itself and there shouldn't be too much background detail about Eurovision contest. -- 109.79.178.201 (talk) 16:29, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
