Fantasy Football League → Fantasy Football League (TV series) – The WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for "fantasy football league" is certainly the general concept of the "league" grouping used by the various forms of Fantasy football. The top google results for "Fantasy Football League" are for big sites like ESPN, NFL, Yahoo Sports, etc. that offer the ability to join a "fantasy football league". This TV show is named after that concept, as is another TV show The League. Fantasy football league might deserve its own article, or should redirect to Fantasy football or to a new disambiguation page that links to "league" sections within the Fantasy football article for each sport. - Support - no primary topic, many different people would know of the Fantasy Premier League version rather than this TV show which was just revived. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 08:15, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:DIFFCAPS. Only topic for the capitalized, proper noun form, so should not carry parenthetical disambiguation. Create the lowercase Fantasy football league as a redirect to Fantasy football (surprised this doesn't exist already)
and add a hatnote to the tv series.Mdewman6 (talk) 18:22, 4 September 2023 (UTC)- See, this is where the disagreement begins. I've created the rdr for "Fantasy football league", at least for now (until notability and verifiability is demonstrated). Other similarly or same-titled programs/programmes may exist later, so I can understand the request rationale so as to avoid the "deadlock"; although I also agree that WP:CRYSTAL may come into play. Let's see where this request goes. Intrisit (talk) 05:56, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nom. I remember the programme, used to watch it sometimes, but I don't think it's primary topic over the general topic, whether in title case or not. — Amakuru (talk) 12:28, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Support The DIFFCAPS argument is silly here given that the generic usage could itself be capped. * Pppery * it has begun... 19:13, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
- How is it silly? To me, this is a normal case of DIFFCAPS. Is there an actual league that is just called "Fantasy Football League" without any other qualifier included? And if there were, is it notable and covered on Wikipedia? I don't think a miscapitalization error here is just as likely as someone seeking a proper noun. The lowercase version didn't even exist until this discussion, but now properly does exist to bring any lowercase searches to the dab page. A hatnote is all that is needed here; a parenthetical qualifer is not WP:CONCISE. Mdewman6 (talk) 22:32, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
