grammar
edit@Udimu: Concerning your recent edit to this article: You're right, it's grammar, not archaeology. But that doesn't make it unsuitable for an encyclopedia. Cf., e.g., Relative clause.

- okay, that seems fine then. The case for royal names is just so much debated, double or triple naming is simply another option. The article also needs categories. best wishes -- Udimu (talk) 05:59, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
- @Udimu: Thanks for adding a category, but it was wrong: this has nothing to do with grammatical case. I've changed it to Category:Ancient Egyptian language.

- @Udimu: Also "See also" xrefs.

- . Tnanks. I was not sure about a suitable category. Do you have any more recent Ancient Egyptian grammar available? That would be a more suitable reference for bibliography. I only have Gardiner's Grammar here and he does not discusses this case. best wishes -- Udimu (talk) 16:38, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry, Udimu, I have no Ancient Egyptian grammar or references at all. I'm a linguist, but unlike you I am not an Egyptian specialist. --Thnidu (talk) 00:48, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Gertoux
edit@Thnidu: The WP:CONSENSUS is that Gertoux does not write WP:RS. Take it to WP:FTN or WP:RSN if you wish. So you may only quote WP:RS, avoid Gertoux as the pest. Lulu.com? That is WP:SPS, i.e. not WP:RS. Tgeorgescu (talk) 16:01, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Tgeorgescu: Thank you for correcting my error. I had not noticed the "self-published" note, nor had I known about Lulu.com, specifically that it is a self-publication site.
- My web search for Gérard Gertoux turned up, among other things, a page for him on the Spanish Wikipedia. My Spanish is not at a high level, so I ran the page through Google Translate (here). Oh yeah, a total crank.
- And now that I've found and read Wikipedia:Fringe theories/Noticeboard/Archive 64#Gérard Gertoux, it's even plainer to see. Note, for future reference: I'd've understood sooner if you had provided a link to that archive and entry. I'm not very familiar with the structure of that area of WP, and if not for their handy search box I might not have found the section at all.
