editI'm thinking of making a separate page here discussing Filipino immigration + communities in Alaska over the 18th century to the present, of which the Alaskeros (which this page currently redirects to) are a significant but not sole component. Thelma Buchholdt's history of Filipinos in Alaska (1788-1958) should prove useful in putting together much of the earlier history, as well as drawing from the History of Filipino Americans page. This would include earlier contact/settlement associated with Spanish and Russian exploration, as well as Filipino involvement in Alaskan gold mining, and demographics of current/past Filipino communities (notably, Filipino-Tlingit intermarriage). This article is very well done and organized, and close to being finished. A few questions:
-Demographics: Are there any specific statistics you can include to clarify some statements? (i.e. “A few Filipinos of this generation married white American women.”
-Culture: Are there any other sources concerning the practices of the Filipino communities in Alaska (aside from their spaces/organizations), it might be a good idea to add information about the dynamics within these communities (if there’s information on that).
-Overall: I would suggest adding pictures or media (particularly in the section about Alaskeros and culture.) M.Magpali (talk) 19:54, 2 December 2016 (UTC)
An image or media in the "Culture" section is appropriate. However, I noticed that the 11th, 12th, and 13th citations no longer work. In the "Demographics" section, there should be some statistics to clarify claims as mentioned above. If there are some other sources that you find about Filipinos and Alaska, feel free to reply.

I added additional information in the "Alaskeros" section. This is to address what else they used their money for. G.renegado (talk) 01:43, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
I fixed citations 12, 13, and 14. The original pages are dead. I replaced them with web archive versions. G.renegado (talk) 06:46, 19 October 2021 (UTC)
Thanks G.renegado. Take a look at your sentence in the "Alaskeros" section, I think it needs to be edited for clarity. Shackpoet (talk) 04:34, 20 October 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion Shackpoet G.renegado (talk) 01:05, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
I added an image of the Juneau Filipino Community Hall in the "Culture" section. G.renegado (talk) 01:05, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
I added the "Overseas Filipino" Wikipedia link to the "See also" section. G.renegado (talk) 21:25, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
I fixed the 4th citation and added an image in the introduction paragraph. For the first paragraph, I wanted to add an image to show a bit of the culture in Alaska. I didn't want to add it in the "Culture" section because the section focuses more on the Filipino community clubs. But feel free to change or remove the image.
