Meaning of the name
editSo, could anybody point to the reason behind the name "Forty-fours"? Did they originally think there were 44 islands, but have since upped the number? Trafford09 (talk) 18:50, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
- @Trafford09: My guess is that it reflects their lattitude. You would need to find a reference for this before entering in though. Andrewgprout (talk) 22:35, 22 November 2019 (UTC)
