Notability
editHow is this not notable ? It used by numerous video projects, and has plenty of external links. Salsa man (talk) 10:35, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Frei0r is notable as it is gaining steady ground as the video equivalent of LAPSDA —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ptechnic (talk • contribs) 10:16, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Disagreeable, there are numerous plugin systems available for video projects. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.75.85.188 (talk) 22:36, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- few of those plugin systems are designed with Free Software projects in mind, the only one which I can think of is Freeframe, and that only works on 32 bit systems. Salsa man (talk) 00:45, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Frei0r has been around since 2004 and are a vital part of the video effect system in many major FLOSS video applications. It's alo included in the Free Software Directory - http://directory.fsf.org/project/Frei0r/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.202.255.142 (talk) 22:45, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
- I feel compelled to point out that none of these things make it notable. I found the article's existence useful (to tell me what this package is), but the article is of very poor quality, concentrating almost exclusively on development-process matters which are irrelevant to encyclopedia users. 121a0012 (talk) 04:17, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I'm in charge of the maintenance of frei0r. I've just released its version 1.4 and, going through this page, corrected references and links and shortened a bit. This edit is not intended as promotion of our project, but to complete its documentation also in case of a vote on its notability. Thanks for your criticism and attention to details jaromil (talk) 17:04, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
