edit@ZuluKane: Greetings Zulu, thanks for taking an interest in the article, it's nice to know that some bugger has read it. ;O); I've had another look at the sections you've ce'd and see your point that the narrative gets a bit disjointed at times, sadly, it was like that in the sources - in the British OH, the BEF goes invisible between the rush into Belgium and the retreat to the French border. I've changed a few things to try to make it smoother but also tried to avoid straying into OR. Hope it helps. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 10:25, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
@Keith-264: I appreciate all the work you've obviously put into this article. (And others I've read; our interests do seem to overlap, in places.)
BTW, it is because I've not read the sources that my edits are generally limited to punctuation, structure, and lite copyediting — doing what I can to help make the text an enjoyable and informative read, while being careful not to edit the cited facts.

Mechelen - Maasmechelen
editIt is important not to confuse these two separate places. According to Google Maps, Maasmechelen is 86 km due east of Mechelen as the crow flies. I assume that the majority of English speakers referred to Mechelen as Malines in 1939, thus avoiding confusion. Modern readers, however, may not be so easily spared the mistake. Everybody got to be somewhere! (talk) 16:34, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Every book I've read has Mechelen. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 19:46, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
