• Do you think the scene at the beginning when Peter answers the movie trivia incorrectly (revealing Tom Hanks) is similar to how Lisa answered Tom Hanks in the same question but turned out to be Otm Shank? Also, the clip where Peter waits impatiently for the movie to start is how Homer behaves in that same episode of The Simpsons?

Robin and the 7 Hoods

The entire scene with the Mr. Booze song, is copied from the movie Robin and the 7 Hoods and should probably be included in a "cultural references" section. It's important to show that this scene was not original to the show, but rather inspired by previous work. My example would be the Family Guy Episode "Patriot Games" when they did the Shipoopi song; if someone didn't know that it was from the musical The Music Man, they should be able to find that out on the Wikipedia page, which they can. Without reliable sourcing indicating that the Family Guy folks did this on purpose...or at least a third-party source making the connection...making this claim would be original research and inappropriate for inclusion. Doniago (talk) 21:27, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Always remember that the difference between "evil" original research and a reliable sourcing is a citation. Put in a dead link, create your own webpage, edit it into a wiki that counts by RS or cite something nobody can check on the internet and nearly anything can magically become a fact. Doniago - the film itself is surely a reliable source, rather than original research? If you watch Robin and the 7 Hoods, it's patently obvious that the song, and, indeed, the scene itself, are taken from the film. But wait, you can't even mention the song is taken from the film (which is all my edit mentioned)? After all, the song is copyrighted material and definitely was used on purpose. Have a look at The scene from Robin and the 7 Hoods on YouTube. In this scene a casino is transformed into a church and the song Mr. Booze is also sung.Mr. Booze, sung by Bing Crosby. If a reliable source has taken note of it, then you're welcome to add the information to the article with an appropriate citation. If not, then as has already been discussed, you're engaging in original research. I don't think this is really that complicated... Nevermind, looks like we're all set on this.
