Adding information about the role of the GATA transcription factor for breast cancer
editI plan to add some more information relating to how the GATA transcription factor plays a role in breast cancer. I am specifically reading articles relating to the different mechanisms that have been suggested about how the GATA transcription factor regulates the growth of breast cancer cells. I am planning to use a source from a research paper published in the International Journal of Biological Sciences. Belunny23 (talk) 02:49, 5 May 2023 (UTC)

Changes as of May 5th 2024
editHello Wikipedia Editors, I added an introduction section. I added the old first paragraph/sentence into my new opening paragraph. I think it includes most of the general information on what a GATA transcription factor is. In addition, I also added a new section explaining the molecular structure of these GATA proteins. Thank you. Best, Petvy Li Petvyli (talk) 17:13, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
- I also replaced the myocyte-derived cells (MDCs) figure with one that contains the GATA transcription factor. This is because I couldn't understand the relationship between MDCs and GATA transcription factor. From articles online, it seems that the author might have used it to show that you can grow these cells and they can differentiate into different cells and GATA4 is responsible for this process. I see that there is a relationship between GATA4 and myocyte enhancer differentiates mesenchymal stem cells into cardiac cells but there’s no information on how it does that and it doesn’t talk about myocyte derived cells. This is why I replaced it with the new image which is from Openverse. Petvyli (talk) 00:13, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Petvy Li
