Cat Bangladeshi People
editI just wonder whether persons born in the then East Bengal in undivided India and holding Indian national citizenship now can be called Bangladeshi People. VMO 03:28, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well, if there was a category People of Bangladeshi origin, or equivalent, I'd have added that. You can't change the fact that his birthplace is Sylhet. Thank you. --Ragib 03:50, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- Your dificulty is well understood. That's why I have not dared to remove it. But I humbly submit that there are innumerable notable people of Bangladesh origin but are staying outside without its present nationality affiliation. A new category seems to be necessary. Let us think it over. OK. However, I hasten to add that even in my wildest dream, I would not imagine changing the birthplace of anyone! Peace! VMO 01:36, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Swamiji, thanks for your wise comment. I am aware of the issue, which often creates quite a lot of unpleasantness in a lot of pages. We cannot ignore their birth places, but again, their later migration adds a problem. But anyway, thanks again for your polite comment. I hope we'd resolve this categorization issue soon. Thanks. --Ragib 01:42, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Hello, I propose that this article be renamed Swami Gahanananda. That would seem more correct to me; monks are generally referred to as Swami Amukananda to distinguish them from people who may have a name (like Pranavananda, Vivekananda, etc) who are not monks. This would also maintain consistency: articles exist for Swami Vivekananda and Swami Shivananda.Sw.my 02:21, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
